Influences

Modern popular culture has influenced Bruce Springsteen's music in many ways. From his obvious attempt to write lyrics like Dylan in the early Seventies to his direct reference to John Ford and John Steinbeck on The Ghost of Tom Joad, he has dug into his roots, our common roots, and put it all in perspective in his own music. But not only did he get influenced by those who came before him. Bruce Springsteen has also passed the legacy on to his successors in both music, film and writing. This section tries to list both the inspired and the inspirer. Some of it may only be in our imagination, but if you're a fan of Bruce Springsteen all of it will be worth a closer look or listen.
