Can't believe Bruce can't even chart these days despite his best single in years.

Singles charts are meaningless these days.

bruce would need a great song on a advert or another big movie song i think to have a massive hit these days.

dont be fooled though bruce wants hits. this single isnt good enough though by a long way. and the shocking video doesn't help.

Lets be honest we live in a Springsteen bubble here. While we are all excited about the new album and the song it does not mean the buzz on a mass scale is the same. Plus radio is a whole different animal than it used to be. Springsteens new tune does not mean the same as Srpingsteens new tune back 20 years ago. Hits stations are not going to touch it and Rock stations quite honestly dont exist as much as they used to. You simply are not going to hear this song on the radio all that often. My guess is this album will hit number one upon its release, stay on the charts for a few weeks then move slowly down the ladder and off the charts rather swiftly.

National Radio Airplay Charts added to Sales Charts at top of thread. Many more countries produce Airplay Charts than they do Sales Charts

Can you actually buy this 'single' as a 'single' - ie; a 7" Vinyl record??

I've never downloaded anything in my life & I'm not about to start now.
I still feel like some kind of futuristic traitor buying something on CD never mind having a file on a computer & calling it a 'single' or an 'album' :shudder:

Now I do believe that honour would go to Long walk home, his best single since ...well since Human Touch actually. Especially in respect to beeing a "radioplay" friendly tune...

But, still - yo - I believe it.
I miss Rod - and J. Boag´s !

Maybe after he plays on the Grammy's, he'll get more airplay.

Bruce has been out for nearly 40 years. He's not going to sell singles/records/arenas/stadiums anymore than usual. He has all the fanbase he needs.

Maybe the Grammy's will get this record on the chart. I didn't watch it (Haven't watched the Grammys since 1991)

Meh, I doubt it. The Superbowl performance didn't make WOAD sell better than "Magic."

Definitely making waves in the UK and getting a lot of 'song of our times' chat. He's even getting some airplay on pop stations/shows. I don't suppose it will translate all that well to the teen dominated download sales (not even in the latest rock top 40) but should certainly give 'Wrecking Ball' a good shunt, particularly if there's one more song with a similar easy appeal to release at album launch. Maybe even the title track if he's reworked it.
I was sick and tired of everything when I called you last night from Glasgow
