This is Scotland's last chance.

Get rid of one half of the corrupt financial hegemony, change the corrupt voting system, get a bigger top league, fairer financial distribution, revert to splt gate money and start to rebuild the dead game in Scotland.

One chance chairmen, don't think short term and do not blow it.

Can the finances of the SPL clubs balance without the Rangers games? Can Sky back out of the TV deal?

I can't believe no Rangers Celtic games.

1) Yes
2) No
3) Nice isn't it? Imagine what the emergency services, domestic violence units and women's refuges will do with all the cash they'll save?

How great is it that Aberdeen were CLUB 5, and were the ones to finally push those bxxxxxxs over the edge into the abyss,
get it up ye.......

As for this bile about will football survive without the great unwashed..of course it will,,,
the greatest period in recent Scottish football was when "they" wre nowhere with attendances of less that 10,000, most of whom left just after half time, Scotland got two clubs to European Semi-finals and Finals and that was the last time a Scottish club won a European trophy or two.....do not beleive their bleating do we need them ???

Fxxxing right WE DO NOT.....

Heaerd somewhere that Rangers might be playing in Jockoland Div 3 next year?

Which could be interesting........Elgin City* hosting 20,000 'gers fans.

House prices in Elgin, Annan, etc collapse in anticipation.

*did I get that right? Elgin City is a proper place? Thought it was in the Wizard of Oz.
Justice......for the 96.

That is indeed a very distinct possibility....however,
The Police forces have decreed that if that is waht happens
the games MUST be all ticket, and they have already warned
the relative transport authorities e.g. buses, trains etc
that they will be prosecuted if they take booking from
any unwashed that do not have match tickets......
quite clear really.....no one wants the bxxxxxxs...

The club formerly known as r*****s very seldom took a support that size to domestic league games, 4 - 6 k is the norm.
Who knows if Sevco 5088 will carry that size of support?

Anyway, as I understand it, Sevco 5088 will require to apply to the SFL for admission, along with probably, Cove Rangers and Gala Fairydean.

As regards Elgin, it's a small city (I think the smallest in the UK .... or is that Brechin?) in Moray, in the North-East sticky-out bit of Scotland.

Their ground used to have a WW2 pill-box behind one goal, gone now sadly, and they got to the quarter finals of the Scottish Cup in 1968 as a non-league side.

John McGinley of Bolton Wanderers played for them.

What is the most likely league for Newco to play in next season?

SPL - unlikely.
First Division?
Third Division?
no competitive league?

The Tea Lady from Iprix has left to join Celtic, asked if she did walking away, she replied..

"No, I just want a bigger challenge than making 5 cups of tea a day"

I've been saying for years that gate receipts should be split.

No matter your partisan view, you ALWAYS go to watch 2 teams, no matter how much you're only interested in 1.

I must admit, I know Rangers are disliked by a lot of fans because of the religious thing, but i never thought most fans would actually want them out of the SPL or indeed Scottish football !

The thing is Roy that Rangers (and Celtic for that matter) have been saying for years that they want to play in the English Premier league or an Atlantic league or suchlike. Fans of other Scottish clubs haven't forgotten this nor can ignore the fact that whilst they may generate money for Scottish football, they make damn sure they keep it. There have also been countless instances of them buying the best players from other clubs (and letting them stagnate in their reserve teams) to ensure they remain dominant. There's other reasons too.

Yup, seems a fair enough point.
so what will happen ?
If Rangers go down 2 or 3 leagues it will just mean 2 or 3 seasons without them and every thing will go back to what it was ?
If Rangers went out of football, some new Rangers would just replace them in time. ?
So what will happen ?

Roy, I've lived with them, gone to games against them, for 40 years or thereby.
Leaving the vile, religious shite to one side, there's a bullying, triumphalism to them that is just horrible.

The collective behaviour of the organisation and their fans just has to be seen to be believed.

They also have an in-built domination of the media up here, which means a positive spin is put on every single one of their (mis)deeds.

Prior to the mid-80s resurgence, when they stank, their "loyal" fans disappeared like snow off a dyke.

Thereafter, during the 90s when football changed completely (for the worse IMHO) they, along with their partners in crime, stitched the rest of Scottish football up financially.

This ensured that an already skewed market had no chance of EVER generating a level playing field.

To find now that their period of dominance was done illegally (as well as immorally) just about puts the tin lid on it.

Their collective fan base are blessed with the self awareness of Big Brother contestants, and their bile spitting, non-contrition since Admin has been a site to behold.

Scottish football has been dead for years, the situation now is the last chance to save it.

We need to get things sorted, get the voting structure sorted, get the league totally reconstructed and start from scratch with long-term thinking and NO self interest.

And if that vile body falls in the course of this, so much the better.
