What is your problem? They were caught and convicted, right?

The judge fucked up and now they get a new trial as it should be.

I'm really not sure what your point is here. The alleged perpetrators were caught, tried and convicted. Their attorneys were able to prove to the satisfaction of the appellate court that the trial was not conducted in a fair and legal manner. The anger from the victims and their advocates should be directed at whomever was responsible for screwing up the state's case -- after all, the attorneys for the defendants were doing nothing other than what they are legally obligated to do. Hence, my confusion as to your point.

Is it possible that the original poster just wanted some way of expressing his horror at the crime that's been committed, and the fact that the families have to endure this side of it once again?

Perhaps all it needed was for someone to express their thoughts that they, too, really feel very sorry for the victims and their loved ones.

Just a thought ...

Your original post included the link to the story and the word "Unreal." That makes me think you have a problem with the fact that a new trial has been ordered. I ask again, for you and the victims' families, where should the anger be directed in this case? At the court which overturned the verdict, at the alleged perpetrators (who have not been given a fair trial yet according to the appellate court, therefore not yet been found guilty in a legal manner), at the defense attorneys who did their jobs according to their oath, or at the prosecutors who screwed up the case badly enough that it was overturned on appeal? I actually can see the reasoning behind being angry at any or all of the above, although in my opinion any disgust or scorn should be directed at the prosecutors who screwed up the case. This is because I believe in our system of guaranteeing a fair trial to any defendant, no matter how heinous the crime. The onus should always be on the prosecution. Their sworn duty is not necessarily to winning at all costs but rather to justice, while the defense attorneys sworn duty is to defend their clients to the best of their ability.

My brother often experience that the prosecution help the defence, like if the defence have a bad day and miss crucial stuff in the trial that the prosecution is aware of.. So even if the stuff go against the prosecution and help the defence, they will help out.

Thats what a fair trial is about.
