1. When will we be rid of him? Talk about an endless nightmare.

2. Will the rest of "his" community denounce him, or stand by him?

Huh. I thought this thread was going to be about Clarence Thomas. ;) :o

I thought Eric Holder.
"Of all tyrannies, a tyranny exercised for the good of its victims may be the most oppressive. It may be better to live under robber barons than under omnipotent moral busybodies. The robber baron's cruelty may sometimes sleep, his cupidity may at some point be satiated; but those who torment us for our own good will torment us without end for they do so with approval of their own conscience" - C. S. Lewis

Sorry, but you are looking for something that isn't here.
Since the New Deal, republicans have been on the wrong side of every issue of concern to ordinary Americans; Social Security, the war in Vietnam, equal rights, civil liberties, church-state separation, consumer issues, public education, reproductive freedom, national health care, labor issues, campaign-finance reform, the environment and tax fairness. No political party could remain so consistently wrong by accident. The only rational conclusion is that, despite their cynical "family values" propaganda, the republican party is a criminal conspiracy to betray the interests of the American people in favor of plutocratic and corporate interests, and absolutist religious groups.

As long as baggers, bigots and bible thumpers control the repub party, they are doomed to go the way of the Dodo.

I'd still rate him a little higher up the food chain than the others I listed. Not much higher, but a little. ;) :P

I'll always remember him with that Bong. That and OJ in the van. You couldn't make things like that up.

In essence the city is rid of him... he's not a serious force in the city anymore outside his base of support in Ward 8. And, frankly, nobody gives a crap about Ward 8 because its poor and across the river and is represented by a buffoon. All the action in city politics is elsewhere.

THe word is, however, this election will finally, really, be his last rodeo. One can but hope.
If the choice is Bud or Coors, I'll have a Coke.

A joke, an embarrassment to everyone in the city but his constituents apparently, who keep re-electing him. Then again, DC's Ward 8 would probably make the residents of the worst neighborhoods in Newark or Detroit feel as though they live in Shangrila <_< .

When will we be rid of him? That day cant come soon enough for me.
