Surely this is final and conclusive proof that football's soul has been sold?

I've only recently found out that the FA cup final is, I believe, being played on 5th May (a week or so before the season ends) with a 515 pm kick off.
Surely this is final and conclusive proof that football's soul has been sold?
A 5-15 KO will mean more fans drunk..all over the country.
a week before the season is over is just crap IMO.
If this is going to happen every year I'll agree with you, but it may just be this seasons final because of the Olympics ?

The F A Cup final is the most important football game in the world - bigger than the Champions League and World Cup. It should be played on the Saturday after the league ends and before the European ..ooops.. Champions League final and should kick off at 3 o'clock. In the morning, there should be Cup Finali it's a knockout and on the Friday night before, I should be allowed in to stay up late to watch Who'll Win The Cup.
You nailed it wor kid

From next season, the Scottish Cup final is being played on a Sunday, so it can be held on the same weekend as the European Cup Final (fucked if I'll ever use that "CL" misnomer).
UEFA, apparently, will not allow any games to be played on the same day as their final, even with an afternoon kick off.
Money doesn't talk, it fucking screams.

The allocation of tickets is a joke too.
I was under the impression that both clubs were getting 25K tickets?
This has traditionally always been the same, with the remainder distributed to FA member clubs/leagues nationwide.
Now that the stadium holds 10K less than it used to the finalists actually get a bigger percentage of tickets than they used to so I don't understand the beef.
The date & kick-off time however is a joke.

The authorities are totally fleecing the customer.
....but I was last week offered two for £900 from a Spurs friend who had 'prematurely ejaculated' and bought two before the semi final.
Don't sound much for a friend to me.
I do agree with you however.
