July 4th is of course Independence Day here in Yankeeland where we celebrate a victory over the english as to many other countries such as
Germany 1990 and 1996
Argentina in 1998
Portugal 2004 and 2006
and most recently Italy last week

This thread started waaay too soon. :o I still have to see a RHCP show tonight, before I can actually leave for Paris.
A setlistvision thread makes me anxious... :)

Glad you're enjoying it. I was in Paris last week. Overcrowded, expensive, polluted, graffitti everywhere, cigarette butts everywhere, hot, humid, piss smell as soon as you go anywhere underground. Apart from all that, it does have some iconic buildings, galleries, landmarks and most importantly BRUCE.

I'm going for 2 days but just seeing the concert on the fifth.
Had to compromise with the wife.
So on the 4th a romantic dinner  in Paris and on the 5th Bruce :D . I won't complain :)

It's been a while since I last checked in (last year to be exactly), but I'm almost ready to leave for Paris. Seeing Bruce on the 4th and having 2 more days in the city with the wife.
Not sure about a pre-party or gathering?

Yeah I just wanna see you smile
Come on dream on, dream baby dream

I'd love to hang out and chat about the setlist but I can't. I have to be actually in Paris on 4th and 5th with Monsieur Springsteen. :P Enjoy Andrew!

Surely a repeat of July 4th 1985 beckons, Wembley Stadium, and Independence Day solo acoustic to kick things off !!

My Gitanes non filtres are packed and I'm heading to catch that train out of St Pancras with all the other saints, sinners, gamblers and ladies of the night !

Never been to Paris but that's exactly what I say about New York, yet somehow people think it's one of the greatest cities in the world.

Is anyone else praying for 4th of July, Asbury Park (Sandy) and Independence Day? Love those songs, wish they were played more often.

For everyone who's going, have a great time. For everyone who isn't, I hope to see you here!

We know that come tomorrow, none of this will be here

So hold tight to your anger, hold tight to your anger
Hold tight to your anger, and don't fall to your fear

Take your best shot, let me see what you've got, bring on your wrecking ball.

I predict a replay of Gothenburg 08 and he opens with BUSA. Fitting song given the themes of the album behind this tour.

Affordable and clean just doesn't do it for me when it comes to major cities I'm afraid. The French are just great - very friendly, very stylish, love this place!
Thanks to the Laker ThisGuns4Hre for the tickets - met him this morning, really nice guy. Anyway, just a few hours to go now - its going to big I think. Hope everyone enjoys watching.
