I know this was supposedly a "request" but they must have rehearsed that as it is stunningly good (the WHOLE band) and 97 shows in (70 of them |ESB) it is up there with The Price You Pay and a couple of others that I "need to hear before I die". I'm cursing the circumstances that conspired against me going to Gothenburg (as I really fancied it) and Frankie as well tonight (and they ain't finished yet!!?) - I was in New York in 2000 for Lost in the Flood but my mate who I would have gone to Gothenburg with "IF" we'd gone, he is desperate to hear that live!!! Bummer!

I relish the fact that the sax playing is so mediocre. This, in hindsight, was clearly an attempt to pave the path for Jungleland by sticking in another Major Sax song. Funny thing is the rest of the song's elements - piano, backup singing and Bruce's singing - all shine better because in the original, you don't notice anything as incredible as Clarence's playing. In fact, I was pissed in '80 when Bruce on the record sang "Stop it now!" for the first solo - lol

I agree with Brian's comments about a DVD of this show. Looks likely.

I was rehearsed, but there were several signs for it. It was introduced as "something special for you".....would love an official dvd of this show, the best I've ever seen :)

That was fantastic. Lots of lucky folks saw a couple of damn good shows. i'm already reading about night 2 being among the very best.

You don't notice Bruce's singing on the original? Are you joking me?! The vocal on the original (especially the last third) are to die for.
