So many highlights to choose from. On a personal level, I'd have to say the shows in Oslo (the longest show I've ever seen) and Gothenburg (best ever crowd) were particularly fantastic, as was Bergen. And it was nice to get terrific show in DC for a change this spring. Touching Bruce's guitar in Philly this spring didn't exactly suck either, I think that was during Thundercrack.

The Rich Nappi tailgate on 9/22 was wonderful, and of course Bruce's dedication of Into the Fire that night was one of many highlights of that show. I still think the most memorable image I have is of Bruce acting as excited as an eight year old with a sugar high, exclaming "It's My Birthday" and handing out cake to the fans in the front row.

As far as rare songs, I got lucky with Frankie, and PIAN-78 several times, as well as Bishop Danced, Talk To Me, Ain't Good Enough for You, and full band The Promise.

In more general terms it's been cool to see new material live, and I've come to like the WB material a little more having seen it performed on a stage. I think I've seen every song off the album live now, except Swallowed Up. I for one really really dig the Apollo Medley, and it's cool to see it returning to setlists again now. And it was so wonderful to be proven wrong in my skepticism about Jake - Bruce made the right call in bringing him onboard and he's done a fantastic job all around.

Posted this in another thread, but here it is again:
I was not there, but the first time Jungleland was played on this tour was the most emotional moment for me. I cried and cried unashamedly when I watched the video. So much lost but something gained...

Do not despair our love is real

Great thread, Chris. I can't argue with your choice, of course. What a special moment playing Into the Fire.

I can't just choose one moment. I gotta make a list and have fun with this list. I will prolly "have to" revisit this list latter to edit. :)

1. Touching THE GUITAR during BTR-in the Pit with Abramsbride and his daughter Philly CBP Night 1
2. High fiving Bruce at the end of Twist & Shout -CBP Night 1
3. My son and I fist pumping during Badlands (his first concert ever!) - Philly Mar 28
4. Jungleland with my wife - CBP Night 2
5 Into the Fire - Night 3 MetLife (that entire day and night was magical)

I am blessed.

Jungleland at Gillette. Hearing the Patriot fans boo Bruce after certain Wrecking Ball lyrics (Go Giants!!).
Everything about 9/22, but espeically Bruce demanding to hear his birthday song.
Incident and Point Blank for Hartford; being told I had springsteenproblems when I was "disappointed" For You started and I had thought I was finally going to hear The Promise.

There's a tremendous thrill in coming out and seeing those people who you know would never have been able to experience the band if you hadn't picked up the sword again. To see those people get involved in all your music, new music and old music, is fascinating---Bruce Springsteen

Yeah, some days it's a bitch, it's a bummer. We need a rock and roll show in the summer. To let the music take us away; take our minds to a better place. Where we feel that sense of freedom. Leave our worries behind, we don't need 'em. All we need is a sunny day and an old tailgate.

Wishes I had for a long time became true, got to see a show in Spain and Madrid was amazing, long show, great set, fantastic crowd ... and got a double shot in Gothenburg ... the most amazing nights ... Something In The Night and Drive All Night at one show and then night two ... the intro of 7 songs before WTCOOO and then an amazing set with Jungleland being the frosting of the cake - Gothenburg Goosebumps Nights with some manly tears shed!
I'm ready to grow young again

The moments that stand out for me:

The frenzy in Firenze..never seen rain like it and the mad semi naked (not me) dancing in the rain was wild. 'You people are fucking diehard' Yes Bruce we are :D

Night 2 Paris..setlist ripped up, crazy mad concert. When you get Something in the Night and Incident before Bruce even has a sweat going it's gonna be a great night. Love Bercy.

Gothenburg..Ullevi the best. Night 1 proper Ullevi crazy but Night 2 something happened and then Jungleland...Wow. This show was at another level.. B)

For the "Springsteen fan" me -- full-band The Promise on April Fools Day in D.C. For the "Dad" me -- surprising my son at the last minute with tickets to that show, then hugging and crying during the Thunder Road sax solo and 10th Ave. tribute.

In Milano, when they finally took to the stage accompaigned by 'Once Upon A Time', that feeling when Bruce and the band walks out on the stage is always special for me, and even more so in Milano since it was my first show this tour.

Then 'The Promise' in Milano

The E St. Shuffle at Bercy #1 when Bruce and the band had to restart it just one-more time because the crowd just wouldn't stop singing/humming it (and NO it wasn't one of the two usual false endings to E St. Shuffle, it was indeed spontaneus, I remember the professor had been coming down to the front and got his accordion out for Sandy when Bruce decided to join the crowd for the E St. Shuffle one more time).

Then a beautiful solo piano Independence Day.

Paris #2. That run of songs before Take Care... making me wonder if someone had set Bruce' calendar back to '99, and so many of my favourites, Ties... No Surrender (the earlier in the set the better), Candy's Room, Downbound Train and my first Something In The Night, WOW. Need anything else to make it a special night? How about Incident... and an 11 minute version of Racing In The Street, and a beautiful solo piano rendition of For You. A very special night.

Oslo, front row, nice weather, a LONG concert with some real gems in the setlist, a fun and loose Ain't Good Enough For You, Streets of Fire, with Bruce nailing his solos, Wrecking Ball with adjusted lyrics to mention my little hometown, and later on the 'Lilyhammer song'. And Night after Twist And Shout, WOW.

Ullevi #1, a reminder of why Ullevi is my favourite stadium in norhtern Europe and probably the best place to see Bruce and the band in Europe, at least outdoor anyway.

Ullevi #2. Another one of those nights like Bercy #2. I hear it rained that night... I was to busy watching Bruce and the band putting on one hell of a performance anyway. Finally got to see 'Saint in the City', and not to mention 'Frankie', one I thought I would never get to see. Where The Bands Are, Because The Night with an extra long Nils-solo when Bruce just told him to keep going and going, and a majestic Backstreets. And of course, the most emotional moment of the shows I saw this tour, the first Jungleland after Clarence, with HIS sax in his spot, Jake pretty much nailing it, and even the professor coming down from behind the piano to hug the little big nephew after they finished it. Somehow a perfect ending to my 2012 tour.

There were mine. I glad this thread said 'momentS', not 'moment'. ;)

And I'm glad there's still more to come. See you all on the road soon. :)
