Australians prepare for the end of Bruce and the boys in Oz

the-end-is-near.jpg

Now that is just cruel.

I went to bed last night disappointed cause there was so little news coming out of Hanging Rock.  I dreamt I met Bruce and the band after the show and then did a slow dance with Bruce.  He was wearing a leather jacket and was 10 feet tall.  The leather jacket was so soft I can still feel it.  Woke up this morning and the first thing I did was log on here just in case I hadn't dreamt it.  But alas, it was only a dream.

So now there's just one more night of watching for the set list and reliving the 2 nights I did get to spend with him in Brisbane (along with 12000 others).  In case I miss any of you tonight, I want to thank everyone who has contributed to these magical nights in Oz.  Those who have been there and reporting to the list, and those who have been watching from far away.  It has been an education - I have learnt so much about Bruce that I didn't know 2 weeks ago, and I have reached for and played old albums to check out songs talked about here.  It has made me realise that there is still so much more for me to discover in Bruce's back catalogue - I will never get bored.

These past 2 weeks have again changed my view of the world, as did my first experience with Bruce in 1985.  I am resolved that future holidays will be planned around his touring schedule - so look out Lakers - I am hoping to catch up with some of you in the future to share these great moments. I am sitting here with tears in my eyes as I realise how important Bruce and his music is to me and so many others.  Thank you.

If it's anything like last night, stay in bed. Phone coverage out of there is non-existent. We didn't get a word about what was played until people started getting home around midnight (8 am your time).

I just want to wish everyone on their way to Hanging Rock an amazing peak life experience. I know that is what it is going to be. Bruce is obviously, for whatever reason, blessing Australia with the best shows he can possibly do. I have a feeling this last one is going to be one of the biggest highlights of his long and incredible career. Enjoy! And come back and tell those of us who can't be there all about it please!

Sitting in my hotel room between Hanging Rock shows. Hoping that of course this is not the last visit to Oz by the Wizard of rock n roll. But part if me wondering that it might be, so if so will we get some sort of barnstorming blow out if a show tonight- like Melbourne 3, or will it be a party where he plays for the cross section of attendees? He took a sign for The Promise last night but sadly no. He's nearly done Incident twice in the last 4, please Bruce? Either way am looking forward to it. Got decent seats, can't seem to snag pit tickets but might be a little too old these days.
I seemed to get Facebook posts out last night so will put the set on here if I can.
Have fun all who will be there, for those seeing them later hope the anticipation builds for you, and the memories are sweet for those who've seen already

Its raining and very dark and bleak!

Try to convince yourself that's a good thing. Scientifically proven better shows under grim weather conditions.

But I live on the sunny north coast, so everything down this way looks bleak to me. So take my weather reports with a grain of salt! LOL
