Portland is actually located on top of an extinct volcanic field known as the BORING Lava Field (go lookup it up if you don't believe me) I am sure they wont call it that when it erupts!

some examples of its weirdness that I found were

o the large selection of second run movie theatres that serve Beer during the movie!

o largest city in yankeeland not to add fluoride to its water

o it is home to the World Naked Bike Ride which recently had 13,000 participants :o

Portland (OR) Magic show...a bunch of women in the Pit were wearing "Lesbians (Heart) Bruce" shirts.  During American Land Bruce changed the lyrics to "the Blacks, the Irish, the Italians, the Lesbians and the Jews."  Cracked himself up.

Great city...although definitely weird. Love the town...lots of great breweries, coffee shops and excellent restaurants, as well.

I have no interest in riding my bike naked, however....

I'll believe they're good if you say so, but they don't look very appetizing. Ugh

At first I experienced the same contempt, the kids demanded we stop there and if that was not enough that I buy a dozen to take home! It was wonderful waking up in Seattle with Voodoo. Now that is a tradition we have abided by for several years.  In Seattle many have tried and a few have come close, Voodoo is the best. Line ups daily, sometimes around the block.

Tha Maple Bacon Bar has migrated to Seattle in about a half dozen Donut Shops. So bad, So good!

Yep. Planet Portlandia. A depiction of real events. Only the names have been changed to protect the innocent.
