Looks like you have most of the "classic" vinyl titles. I only ever owned a handful of vinyl boots ("New York City Serenade", "Action In The Street", the "Darkness On The Edge Of Charleston" box set, "Honeymoon"; two particularly crappy ones called "Nobody Sings Dylan Like Bruce Springsteen" and "Dancing Down Under", respectively; "To Know Him Is To Love Him" picture disc LP, the fake "Express" triple-LP "promo" set, and maybe two or three others). Then the first boot CD's surfaced, and I quit buying LP's altogether.

Moost of these boots are collected at least 25 years ago, before the cd-era. When cd:s where availble, I bought a couple cd boots but then I started to copy them instead and focus on 7" records. I have bought 2 or 3 vinyl boots on eBay the last years. But it would have been fun to have "Jersey devil" and "Aint nobody" in original pressings but thats not important. A friend of mine has both, maybe I could persuate him to sell them to me.

Some of the boots are ofcourse more interesting than other, for example Live on coral records. That one was quite expensive when I bought it in the 80:ies, but my copy is in a fantastic condition. Live in the promised land on slipped disc with gatefold cover is also a really nice item.

In terms of "historical importance", this is probably THE vinyl boot to own as an original pressing.

We discussed this before, and I posted the below photos.

As you can see, it says "Made in the EU" on both the sleeve and the labels.

What is written at the bottom of the back sleeve of your copies? That should give a clue whether they're EU or US pressings, even the country is not mentioned.

And since we opened the subject, let's make a list of all available variants. It would look like:
1)- "Made in EU" or "Made In US" or "no country mentioned" on sleeve
2)- "Made in EU" or "Made In US" or "no country mentioned" on labels
3)- Sticker?
4)- catalogue number
5)- Labels color
6)- Remarks...

Posted Image

Posted Image

Here's some pictures of my copies with no county mentioned on the sleeve. And there seems
to be two different variants among my copies. No label pictures, since all are sealed.

All the bottom back cover print in one line, Columbia logo.

Variant 2 has bolded yellow letters d N and spot on the back cover bottom print.

The printing quality of the first one looks very sloppy. Looks like a print of a scaned artwork for me. maybe a fake?

Sure not a fake.

It's the same for my copies.
I bought in USA via Backstreets and in Europe (maybe via Badlands)

I can say that all these are U.S. pressings. They are the same issue, coming from two different printing batches.

Little non-Bruce content.

On my website I have listed some of the stuff I have collected over the years with Bruce, Die Toten Hosen and Garth Brooks.

Suddenly I get an email from a DTH fan. He want to buy this CD Australian release from me..

http://www.springste...rsantaclaus.htm

I politely decline and direct hi to other sites where he might get lucky.

he come back and offer me money or a deal, swapping CD's.

Now the first money offer is €120 Posted Image Posted Image Posted Image The swap is an offer of 7 other DTH CD's including 2 boots. One of them (the original releases) is a signed boxset. I am amazed and surprised.
I have told him I haven't decided yet, which I haven't. But IF I ever sell it he have my word that it will be to him. I am not going to try and make a fortune on this obviously rare item just because I now know it's pricey.
I will definitely help him find another copy somewhere thoughPosted Image

Edit. The dude just raised the offer to €150 and will pay postage etc as well.Posted Image

I am sure it is worth way more than he is ready to give *LOL*

Or maybe it's really worth a lot less, and worth only this much to him!?

Could also be, but why not buy the German edition then? Okay there is an extra song on the OZ release and only 1 or 2 german ones, but all stuff are available on officially released singles.

Bruce should do what DTH have done for years.

In addition to new albums which normally feature 14+ songs, they release 4-5 singles all featuring each from 1 to 3 new songs, or alternate versions.Posted Image Would be nice if Bruce did thatPosted Image Posted Image
