Recent talk that Celtic and Rangers could join the English Premier League.

Blue Square North sounds more likely ....

Europe is a sideshow for scottish clubs now unfortunately, lack of finances mean we cant compete at that level & that is a shame. It wasnt so very long ago Celtic defeated Liverpool & Blackburn on the way to the UEFA cup final in Seville,we also beat Man U in the champions league. It would be interesting to see the old firm in with the so called best in the so called best league, with a level playing field we would give them a run for their money

LA LIGA  ,,, but the premiership is ok too depending on which teams you watch. I'm sure Newcastle will be entertaining to watch along with Man Utd and Man City

I agree. It has been all down hill since SKY pulled out. But I think this tie came way too early for Celtic. They are still doing pre season training.

celtic are a great club with a great history and tradition...the last time we had decent money to spend was when martin o,neil was here...and in the years we had martin in charge we kicked the arses of some big teams at parkhead, and the money we spent then is nothing compared to the silly money the so called best league in the world will spend on players these days.your league down south is a magnet for every smart ass football agent...and player .the sky money cant last forever, and dont kid yourselves, wene the money runs out so will the players.and in the mean time your national team goes downhill at a rate of knots.only a few weeks since all the moaning in the media about english football having its priorities all wrong by putting club football before the national team, and already your managers are complaining about the up and coming freindly.....give celtic the same money as man u,or even the under achieving man city or newcastle, and i think we would do ok.football is meant to be a sport you know...wene everyone is on an even playing field, enjoy the euro qualification games wene all your great players from your great league are banging in the goals.....against you. :P

As a fan of a non-OF Scottish team it's hard to come up with any sympathy when either of the evil sisters fail in Europe, being as the two behemoth cheeks of the same arse are largely responsible for the execrable state of Scottish fitba right now.
