  1. This is very sad news. My sincere condolences to her family and friends.

  3. Bruce is of course not a right-winger but recently it seems he 's rapidly becoming a political Polyanna with a peculiar fetish about 'centrism' of any kind and on any issue. Not the same Bruce he was 5 or 10 years ago.
  4. The problem with 'the Middle' is that 'the Middle' in America is 'the Right' everywhere else in the world throughout the entire human History of the last 200 years.
  5. An "important message" by a musician means music, lyrics, performances, interviews, even PSAs and tweets, not getting truckloads of money to advertise a fuckin car made by a big fuckin corporation.
  6. This is very sad and very disappointing. I hope he at least donates the money (assuming he got paid to do that) to some charity cause. Yes it's fine cinematography and I'm sure he means all the things he says but nonetheless this is a crack in the mirror of the integrity of his 50 year old career. You know, the things some of us got hooked on him for in the first place. As if he couldn't get a public forum to get his whatever message through without having to endorse some big money-hungry corporate fuckin car brand. Damn.
  7. This is very sad news. My condolences to BirdmanT's family and friends.
  8. The greatest of all times. Damn.
  9. I find it laughable that people think America has been one of the good guys after May 1945. I can't imagine what kind of history books you guys have read. Cos as a matter of fact, and particularly regarding foreign policy, wars, invasions, interventions, military coups, satellite states, puppet dictatorships, inhuman embargos, secret CIA/DEA operations, etc, America post May 1945, starting with the Hiroshima and Nagasaki massacres, has been nothing but the worst of the worst.
  10. This is very sad news. My sincere condolences to his family and friends.
  11. Good lyrics, good sound, good performance, weak and repetitive melody, no bridge, no surprises. I liked Letter To You much more, maybe it's the language barrier.
  12. Atlantic City from Nebraska album (Bruce) Out in the street from Tempe 1980 (SVZ) Roulette from TOL tour 1988 (Patti)
  13. Indeed some great cinemaτοgraphy in the single shot scene, with the big help of technology of course. But the movie is heavily advertised and heavily celebrated as an “anti-war film”, while this is definitely not the case here, apart perhaps from four or five lines in the beginning of the film, and that would be all. The rest of the movie is super-patriotic bollocks depicting the saint & caring British soldiers fighting German Orks who are at best drunk thugs and at most sneaky killers who deserve no humanity at all, because, well, they are simply not humans. And to think that the movie does not even refer to WWII where anyway there was Nazism and Auschwitz and Hitler and all that as (some real) villains, but to WWI that as any historian would tell you there was no good or bad, only dead soldiers at the front and hungry poor civilians back home. Overall, the bits of great cinematography in the film cannot distract me from its deeper ideological message, which is borderline reactionary and definitely very disappointing. 2/10
