  1. An announcement in 90 mins from now in Spain? That would most certainly be mad cool.
  2. Why not. Just look at premier league football attendances every week. 75,000 at Old Trafford every game. Admittedly social distancing between seats at the other Manchester club stadium is a regular feature, but that’s nothing to do with covid.
  3. Indeed, if omicron hospitalisation remains at 0, this could all end quite well. https://www.google.co.uk/amp/s/www.cityam.com/covid-death-rate-not-rising-swap-travel-restrictions-and-mass-hysteria-for-cautious-optimism-as-omicron-mutation-is-super-mild-variant-who-and-coronavirus-experts-say/%3famp=1
  4. In England, Boris doesn’t want loads more people working from home every day. He wants everyone spending their money on petrol, coffees, in sandwich shops etc. Blatantly obvious why he won’t move to Plan B.
  5. Long before May 2022 there will be an Omicron specific vaccine roll out if experts think it really is needed. Hopefully it does prove to be a weaker strain and current restrictions and booster jabs prevent it from taking a hold anyway.
  6. The bootleg of the multi track however (Last Tango in Philly by Ev2) sounds great, but it’s not the full show. How can fans do a better job than a professional mixer with the multi tracks? Incredible really. If I remember rightly, the archive of this show was a Toby Scott effort before Altschiller took over the mixing reigns. This show absolutely deserves a remix (like Altschiller did with the 1980 New Years Eve show at Nassau Coliseum) because the current version is indeed unlistenable for very long at once.
  7. Please could anyone help me with this part-show release as I lost my cd of it. Appreciate the full show is available as a nugs archive, which I’ve already bought and paid for. Thanks. Title: Last Tango In Philly 'Label': Ev2 Format: 1CD Source: Soundboard / Multitrack Date: December 31, 1975. Location: The Tower Theatre, Philadelphia (Upper Darby), PA.
  8. Having experienced it myself I completely agree, but will it still be an issue by next May and if so should any bands be playing concerts or fans attending football matches over the coming months?
  9. Yep, you’re right. There may well be an Omicron wave, hopefully with only mild illness, but it shouldn’t be an obstacle by May 2022.
  10. The scientists reckon in 2 weeks they’ll know more about vaccine efficacy and transmission rate. So a delay with an announcement makes sense. It doesn’t feel right to announce a tour just yet. But fingers crossed the news isn’t bad enough to warrant scrapping the tour completely.
  11. Only a few which I was in! I would love to see any more photos anyone else has.
  12. Love the show but not keen on the mix. Way too compressed and gives me bad ear fatigue after a few songs. Can’t listen to it all the way through without a few breaks.
  13. Thankfully we at least have Hammersmith ‘75 night 2 in great sounding audio through the archive series. My Hammersmith ‘75 night 1 blu ray disc in HD with vinyl rip audio (converted to 24 bit digital) gets regular play. It sure made the official DVD redundant.
  14. Trying to be optimistic, if a tour is planned and ticket on sales were imminent, would they actually pull it now due to an unknown variant (impact) that might soon turn out to be less of a health threat than existing strains? They must have been expecting new variants to emerge between now and next summer.
  15. Wouldn't say a great performance but certainly rarely troubled by an extremely over-rated Chelsea side.
  16. Thought Chelsea were really poor, looked a dodgy penalty to me although I was behind the other goal. I don’t think they would have scored if they played until midnight apart from that. Great to see Sancho finally clicking into gear. 75 points still left to play for this season.
  17. As Bruce used to say before Born to Run live, nobody wins unless everybody wins. And as The Guardian report today, that’s true now of vaccine roll outs. “Omicron is a reminder that no one is safe until everyone is safe. By the end of the year, enough vaccines will have been manufactured to have vaccinated the whole world against Covid. Yet too many countries are facing this winter with low vaccination rates as a result of wealthier nations hoarding unused supplies. Only 3% of people in low-income countries are fully vaccinated, compared with more than 60% in high-income countries.” And that’s how new variants manifest themselves and spread.
  18. We can only hope concerns over this new variant are dispelled in the next few weeks. Had my booster jab today and I had Covid in October so I’m probably now as immune as you can be for the next 6 months or so. But I had 3 days in hospital with it just 5 months after my 2nd jab. It was really nasty. If just one band member got it, show cancellations would be inevitable. I’m only 49, a lot younger than the E Street Band and many other concert going Bruce fans. I can’t imagine anyone unvaccinated over a certain age taking the risk of going to concerts.
  19. “dancing offstage and raising a foot to play a couple of surprisingly correct keys on Roy’s piano” This. My favourite bit of the whole No Nukes performance. Those notes on the piano are perfect, I listen out for them every time. They fit in place so well and are essential to the song in that crazy finale of Quarter to Three. The timing of those notes is absolutely spot on as well.
  20. I think it will be next month. Wouldn’t surprise me if it was all mixed a long time ago (at the time Altschiller re-mixed the previously under par version of 12/31) and it has been kept on the shelf for a future Xmas release.
  21. Love the way Bruce delivers a “Ro Ro Ro Rosie come out tonight” line. As Paolo might say, Essence.
  22. Pfizer reckon it would take 6 weeks to tweak the vaccines to cover the Nu variant and 3 months to start distributing it. So all hopes of bands touring anytime soon would seem to depend on whether the existing vaccines are still as effective. A nightmare for promoters and artists like Bruce who we think were just about to announce their plans.
  23. Now I feel very old. Proud to have attended 173 of the 185 games he played for United. My favourite all time player.
