Was the song planned to be played?  It may have been an extra after the show was due to end and the cameras were not set up or expecting the so the picture quality was not as good.

The picture quality is excellent, the same as every other song. The cameras were all set the same as the rest of the set. They just decided to list credits on it. As I say, madness.

Hmm. If it's so 'legendary' then why do this? It makes no sense whatsoever. Yet again, it seems they have not missed the opportunity to miss an opportunity.

It doesn’t make any sense. It’s not as if there are 30 songs, there are just 13, and Rave On is one of the 10 never seen before. A treasured video which has remained unseen by virtually anyone for 42 years. So they go to great lengths to unearth it, restore the picture to HD, then plaster credits across it. Complete madness.

How is Quarter to three edited? Does Rave On have credits rolling over it at the end or not?

I’ve just bought it on Amazon UK and the editing of QTT is ok, it’s in the places I expected. As for Rave On, sadly it DOES have the credits all over it. No need to do that, they could easily have rolled the credits at the end over a black screen (or photo stills) with some other outro music.

£13.99 on Amazon to download / buy the film in HD. Currently got the box set on order from Amazon at £22.99.  Does blu-ray disc provide greater quality than a digital copy?  Digital has advantage in being able to watch on multiple streaming devices / more portable around the house etc.  but wanted to check if there's a quality issue to take into account? As the film is available right now!

If you’ve got excellent WiFi then it should be streaming in 1080p which is HD. The sound might not be as good as the disc though which is 24bit 96 khz. I’ll be getting the digital one as well on Amazon tonight just for convenience for watching on other devices when I’m not at home.

  5. Just played Ghosts again for the first time in a while. That sudden guitar riff at 3 mins 40 after the “I make my vowels to those who’ve come before” line, is so good. Now you know it’s coming, it’s essential to the song.

Another example of immaculate timing. You could never hear that song in any performance without that riff in that exact place.

  6. Just give me that drum beat as Max enters the stage, then the E Street band members take up their positions….drum beat continues, louder and louder…crowd roars as Bruce emerges up that ramp from backstage and into view of the crowd, as the roar gets louder still, and then…..”Zero’s my number, Time is my hunter…..”

    And we are off…..

in 2012 , the UK dates got announced on 21st November and went on sale on Saturday 3rd December with shows in Sunderland, Manchester and Hard Rock Calling (aka Hyde Park) and the IoW festival date was confirmed just before.

AEG are behind the British Summer Time Hyde Park events and Tony Leighton-Pope jumped ship from the Live Nation (who used to propote the Hard Rock Calling) to AEG. LiveNation had the 'license' for Hyde park gigs from 2001 to 2012 but the Royal Parks awared the contract to AEG after there tenancy ran out, they currently have the liscene for 65,000 capacity events at Hyde Park. AEG had Barclaycard 2012 - 2019 and now American express are the partners from 2020 to xx

there is a vacancy for Satruday 25th waiting to be filled, thats what im hoping as due to the Glasto situation with Tickets being rolled over from 2020 im out of luck again this year so wont be going for my usual week long mud fest down at the farm.

so my guess is that they announce a European tour announcement on Tuesday 22nd November once they have got No Nukes oput and then capture the thanksgiving holiday season celebrations and end of month paychecks. Tickets usually based on historic tours go on sale first Friday/Saturday of December for UK

either way im excited as it will be my first tour since 2012

This all makes perfect sense to me, and I’ll be keeping fingers crossed for an announcement week commencing 22nd November.

The one thing that seems odd though is there has not been one leaked piece of info from a promoter (often the Italian promoters are the first to break silence), or any stadium / venue reservation info which makes me less confident about an imminent announcement.
