Assume it’s only available in the US? Will rely on a YouTube capture to see Bruce’s performance.

Danny (lifelong Springsteen fan) only took him to the final so he could have chance to sing it. Otherwise not sure that kid deserved to be in the finale. Not sure about the lyric changes / mistakes though!

Story says no recording of the reggae BITUSA exists but it's right there - click link to One Love audio and it's played straight after One Love! Never heard this!

100% correct. The Blood Brothers film included a few snippets from the dressing room ahead of that performance....but had never seen this raw footage.

Never seen this before. Yes there were snippets in the Blood Brothers video release but 15 mins of rehearsal here. Fascinating fly on the wall stuff if you've also not seen...particularly as this period and coming together of the band again is commonly described as being awkward.

I am looking forward to seeing this at my home 'cinema' (120inch screen projection) and experience this again. I was actually not that impressed with the sound in the Cineworld cinema...yes a big sound but felt unbalanced. The music seemed fine but vocals sounded quite separate from the music and raw...like the sound setting might be ok for regular movies but not for a concert...like it needed some tweak..unlike the sound of the audio release which sounds great. May have just been the particular cinema i went to. Anyone else felt sound in cinema hall was not quite top notch?
I can confirm this was better experience watching at home than the cinema

Got my Blu-Ray copy yesterday and watched it only for the second time (only saw it once at the cinema on the first night)....just as fantastic as it was in the cinema. A superb coming of age movie which not only shows the power and influence of Springsteen's evocative songs on a young teenage Asian guy in mid 80's Britain, but also how these songs can change people's lives ( as it did mine in 1982). The racism of the time was really powerfully encapsulated, and the director used small details like how Javed and his sister had to go to daytime discos for their fun and parties as they were not allowed to go to nightclubs and such by their strict muslim parents. Muslim life was really well articulated in the movie, and the ending of the film especially was very moving and well acted. I wanted for years to see a really good UK movie made which showed the real power and life changing influence of Bruce's music to a wider audience particularly in the UK and finally this summer we got one. It really hit home with me as I saw an awful lot of the experience I went through with discovering Bruce's music 5 years earlier than when the film is set.
Superb film in my opinion.
Agree 1000%. Especially moving to me as an Indian Springsteen fan who got into his music around the same time around the same age. Watched the bluray yesterday too and loved it. Though was more like the 4th or 5th time since the cinema because of the magic of streaming lol.

Blu-ray arrived today and put it straight on. Enjoyed it even more at home than in the cinema. Sadly no bonus features though.

Yep that's the one..but for folks not familiar easier to call it Cardiff. Really surprised to see it's on every night for the week.

It's not only that, it's that we've missed the opportunity to meet up and watch it with forum friends - because it wasn't originally advertised as showing in Oxford which is the most convenient venue for us all.
Not good...same frustration when tour dates are drip fed

Oh FFS. Now it's on in TWO more cinemas in Oxford, and a lot cheaper too. That has made me very cross indeed. Shitty way to treat people.
I would agree...i thought it was a one night only special when I saw on 28 Oct and therefore understood and accepted it being a expensive ticket than a regular movie. As far as I can see it is billed as an EVENT hence unique pricing. Our local cinema chains are only £4.99 for movies usually but not this film.

Noticed there are more UK showings. My local has it on 14 Nov and Showcase Cardiff has it EVERY NIGHT 8 - 14 Nov!! Might go and watch it again or shall I just wait for the bluray. Hmm...decisions...

As for waiting for the DVD, I can't wait personally coz I can't really afford to see the move on big screen again for 17 bucks a pop and I always like shit better the second time around or at least pick up stuff I didn't the first time.
Call it me absorbing stuff slow.

I started laughing real hard when the sweep got underway, but no one else seemed to get the joke. (reminds me of Mr. B trying to vacuum. Is it genetic, I wonder?)
Did he think to himself I've had enough of this shit as he walked off or did he disappear to go off to get a pan or bag for the waste? Guess we'll never know lol

Enjoyed that alot. Seen her previously as a contributor to various unofficial video biographies. Did anyone else notice for some reason they used an alternate studio take of Sandy..was only a few seconds of the song but I did
