  1. I think he was using Human Touch more as an example of what he likes to play, rather than particularly going to bat for that song. He was making the point that he’s not concerned about getting to play showy solos with E Street, although they’re fun. If you heard the interview, his comments about Ramrod were pretty interesting too huh?
  2. Don’t know if anyone had a chance to hear Nils’ interview on my podcast “Sending Signals”. One of the big takeaways was Nils’ attitude to playing in the E Street Band. I had wondered if it was ever creativity frustrating playing with E Street, what with it being a huge band, and also with Bruce writing in more conventional song structures in recent years, but Nils’ attitude was really interesting. He really just wants to sort of lock in with the band and enjoy playing rhythm, and he said if Bruce gave him the choice he would pick Human Touch over Youngstown every time. Thoughts? You can hear the full thing below if you haven’t already. Apple: https://podcasts.apple.com/gb/podcast/sending-signals/id1462956422?i=1000441123251 Web: https://sendingsignals.simplecast.com/

  4. Hey chaps, I recently launched a new podcast about music and creativity called “Sending Signals”, and this week features my interview with Nils Lofgren. We of course talk about his new record and tour, Crazy Horse etc, but we also got to talk E Street! We discuss his favourite songs to play, and I ask if it can ever be a bit creatively stifling on E Street. Would really appreciate you giving it a listen, and leaving a star rating/review if you enjoyed. I’m producing the show single-handedly with no sponsorship so really appreciate you spreading the word too. The episode also features my interview with Mike Rutherford from Genesis! Last week featured Colin Blunstone and Adam Duritz, so the guests are ace, even if you can’t stand me, ha! Will link to the show on Apple in the comments, but you can also find the show on Spotify, Castbox etc. Thanks Lakers!
  5. Maybe he was hoping HBO would pick it up instead.
  6. How pervasive is it? Are we talking 10 words across the show, or like 60?
  7. Anyone had any experiences with the returns queue on the day? I am faced with the possibility that I could go if I could get in somehow, as I'm now going to be in New York for 6 nights in a couple of months!
  8. I also now happen to be in town during the Broadway run! Gonna enter the ballot obviously, but good to know about the returns line; the trouble is, I can't justify the price for most of the ticket bands. The likelihood of there being $75 dollar returns is pretty slim I'm guessing?
  9. Erm, the tweet said nothing about 5 months. You've doctored it. Not cool.
  10. Yeah go and have a look at the Fleetwood Mac setlists for this tour. And I'm not saying the FM show will be bad by any means, but I believe it's the same every night.
  11. You say how much does he think we earn but then suggest tour end of 2014 AND summer 2015?!That would bankrupt me, couldnt do it.But think I'm right in saying that's how it worked with new album tours in the past. I remember my buddy going to see The Rising at Wembley Arena quite late one year, then we went together to Crystal Palace the following Summer. I think with Magic there was a Winter O2 show and then I saw him at Emirates the following Summer. You're being a little unfair to my intelligence there. I also think it's too soon for Europe when he's not played the States for a while. Again, based on the past, there's normally two legs in the US for a new album isn't there. It's not that I don't want more Europe dates, although I can't afford it at the mo, I'm just thinking about the past. didnt mean to insult you at all.I read your comment as meaning two mini tours rather than summer 2014?To me, that would be very tempting but couldnt afford to both but I supoose could do one show at end of year and one or two in sumer....We will have to see what happens!Exciting times again!Sorry again.Lets get back to Bruce and being happy at all the rumours! No worries man, just spouting ideas myself. Just thought looking at past activity was reasonable. Who knows what will actually happen. Who would have thought he'd start playing festivals after that long for example. See you down the road.
