  1. For anyone in Australia looks like the local release will be Dec 4th at Event Cinema's... https://www.eventcinemas.com.au/Movie/Western-Stars
  2. About to board a non stop 18 hour flight from London to Perth so if anybody could PM a link in the next hour or so that’d be awesome! Otherwise it’s a long ride home hoping the vinyl will be on more doorstep when I get there! Can’t wait to hear this album.

  4. Nugs download of Perth #1 is available - that was quick!!
  5. Not sure if it's a mistake, but Perth Arena just replied on twitter to a fan and said video of the entire show will be uploaded onto the official Springsteen website. Would normally dismiss it as a mistake but who knows given the sudden removal of all fan videos from YouTube and social media? Perhaps video downloads are coming!?
  6. So excited for tonight. It really is a great venue - of all of the modern arena's that I've gone to its for me the best. My thoughts on the opening song change by the hour, just hoping for an overall set-list in keeping with the theme of the recent US shows. Hope everyone has a great night!
  7. this exact time next week we will be an hour or so in to night one, all the way down here in little ol' Perth. Its going to be a long 7 days!!!
  8. I think its 30 days until things kick off here in sunny Perth. Bets for opening song, opening night? I'm going to go with a full band Long Walk Home.
  9. If anyone wants a GA for the first show in Brisbane (14th) for face value let me know. My mate has made the classic 'right ticket / wrong show' mistake!
  10. Tickets dropping for multiple shows now, including some GA's. Just grabbed one for Brisbane on the 16th...
  11. The new dates are official: http://www.frontiertouring.com/brucespringsteen
  12. Tickets dropping for Front GA for both Perth nights now.... (limited availability)
  13. Perth seating plan is up. Same great little standing area as last time!
  14. I hope so! Don't know the venue, but I know that date is correct. Perth Arena has to be the best place I've ever seen him, so hoping very much for that to be the place. Its free on 25/1 but the basketball is currently scheduled for 28/1 - plenty of room for another show on 27/1 and then if we're being greedy and want 3 shows again maybe even on 23/1 too? Still a chance it could be a one off outdoor show instead in Subi !!!
  15. Can't speak of the others but the Perth date of 25/1 is 100% correct
  16. Announcement is definitely scheduled for Tuesday and Perth IS included. Don't know the venue or any other dates yet
  17. Bit of a strange SMH article, and hopefully its wrong (especially about the no Perth bit!). Don't really understand why there would even be a support band for Arena shows, let alone it being Jet who aren't even together anymore. I tweeted the writer of the article to ask how sure about the no Perth / Adelaide bit he was and he replied to say BernardZuel Reasonably, but again, what do I know? I'm hearing rumours only. Don't rely on me - I'm just a journalist. 8/09/2016, 1:05 PM
  18. This seems to confirm that the shows will feature SVZ & Morello, and is perhaps not the start of a new album tour (just yet anyway)... In a rare treat for local audiences, bandana-wearing guitarist Steven Van Zandt, who did not make it Down Under in March due to acting commitments, will join his understudy, Rage Against the Machine’s Tom Morello, on stage. “It’s a dream come true for me and they’re going to be very, very special shows,” Mr Gudinski. “There will be Springsteen fans all over the world envious to the fact that both Morello and Van Zandt are on stage together.” “This will be our most far-reaching tour of Australasia ever,” Mr Landau said. “He’s not doing any other countries,” Mr Gudinski said. “This is a whole other tour, a one-off.” http://au.news.yahoo.com/thewest/entertainment/a/-/music/18517182/
  19. It is expensive. But compared to some other current tours, its not way over the top of what could have been expected. Looking at the Frontier (promoters) website, they have the top Leonard Cohen tickets for $287. But then Muse (who with LC and Bruce all play the same Perth venue) top out at $130 for a GA ticket.
  20. ticket prices: Front Standing (General Admission) $230.65 A - Reserved Seating $230.65 B - Reserved Seating $198.75 C - Reserved Seating $148.65 D - Reserved Seating $132.15
  21. Haha, that SMH video says that he "has visited 126 countries on his current tour". Maybe the WB tour will go on longer than we think!
  22. Are you being serious? Honestly, I wouldn't mess about with this. I emailed him the rumours this morning, he text me this afternoon that its on and I called him to make sure it wasn't a wind up. Its true, its happening. Bruce is coming to Perth (and the rest of Australia too) and we will know all about it tonight
  23. As a Perth resident, this is just amazing news! Missed the Aussie tour but flew to Europe for the Cardiff show and am barely back here again and this news arrives. A good friend of mine works for a company very much involved in Bruce's life (no prizes for guessing who that is) and he just called me to say its been confirmed to them and will be announced at 10.01pm (Perth time) tonight. Under 5 hours to go!
