  1. A shame that this has been debunked (mind, it's nice to see Idiot'sDelight was just calling back to an old thread and isn't claiming to be ITK/a troll) but one thing continues to excite me about the next few months. Summer ending and September on the horizon can be a drag, and the dark nights have even been here for a couple of weeks too. "Summer's hangin' on, but the time's still right..." So I don't know about the rest of you, but when I've been out walking around/after half 8 recently I've been thinking back to the thrill of listening to both Western Stars albums last year, as we
  2. There's also bound to be another track on one of theses seven releases we've currently got from this year that creeps up and makes an emphatic statement in the coming months. It's the Archive Series' way. Tidied
  3. I've thought about what rating I'd give that show on release much more than anybody ever should
  4. 2020 has been a very strong year of releases, particularly songs-wise. I started thinking this morning about what "the Series’ Top 10 songs of 2020" would be if I was writing it now and there's at least 17 tracks that are competing for the top 10. And there are four releases to go this year - maybe even five if we're lucky. Oh boy.
  5. I like the idea of updating this list with every new release, so it's probably going to be a thing I do now.

  7. Banger of a show. REVIEW: https://cantfindtickets.wordpress.com/2020/08/24/new-from-the-springsteen-archive-november-11th-2006-london-uk/
  8. Not gonna lie, I've given this theory some thought as well. Entirely possible.
  9. Not the only one available https://cantfindtickets.wordpress.com/2020/08/19/bruce-springsteen-live-downloads-review-january-28th-2014-cape-town-sa/
  10. He'd have some great words for this release, I'm sure of it.
  11. Having just read through this thread in full for the first time, I'll once again recite @Jerseyfornias words that have always stuck with me. "There's something for everyone". In the early years of my fandom I could never get carried away with Live in Dublin. I tried - believe me, I tried - but aside from "Atlantic City" there was nothing that touched my soul the way so many other songs on the vast amount of releases at the time did. In the years that have followed I've grown to appreciate that release, but as we've gotten more and more live releases through the Archive Series
  12. If anyone has their doubts about "I'll Work For Your Love", I can only suggest to check out the Buffalo 22/11/09 version from the Archive Series. Combined with Bruce's request for the audience's support of local food banks of New York, it's the perfect performance. This thread gave me an opportunity to go back and listen to it again. Simply magical.
  13. Today's listening: From 12 years ago https://cantfindtickets.wordpress.com/2019/09/21/previously-from-the-springsteen-archive-august-23rd-2008-st-louis-mo/
  14. Quick question If you were categorising these releases as either New or Previously from the Springsteen archive, but couldn't actually categorise it until next week, would it still classed as New at that point? Asking for a friend...
  15. Started fretting about how I now won't able to download/write about yesterday's Archive until, like, Thursday, but then I started playing NJ 1981 and it's a really relaxing show.
  16. As I say, I'm occupied these next two days, so seeing as this might be my last post on the forum for so many hours, I'll leave you lot with The Stages of the Archive Series Obsessive
  17. I wouldn't know about this... Just three would be far too few for my reviews
  18. Maybe this time next year ey! I'm usually surprised when I see people suggesting shows from tours released just a few months back, but I truly think 20/8/81 transcends that. It's a necessity in the series and if they have it/when they find it and can produce it to an acceptable standard, they have to get it out it asap. Can't be sitting on that sonbitch.
  19. Yeah I got to thinking today that it would be cool if delayed releases appeared anytime, not just on a Friday. It's good for them to have a structure though. 39th*, and yeah this guy on BTX did, whoever he is...
  20. In the event it's released tomorrow, here's when to expect it. I've got stuff going on tomorrow and on Saturday so likely won't be able to get it/won't be around to discuss on here or review it until maybe Sunday at the earliest. I'll still hope it is released on Friday though for the rest of you, rather than pray another delay happens for my own personal gain - I'm nice like that.
