  1. Now honey I don't wanna clip your wings But a time comes when two people should think of these things Having a home and a family Facing up to their responsibilities They say in the end true love prevails But in the end true love can't be some fairytale To say I'll make your dreams come true would be wrong But maybe darling I could help them along Ohhh, my daddy said right before he died That true true love was just a lie He went to his grave a broken heart An unfulfilled life girl makes a man hard Oh darling, there's something happy and there's something sad 'Bout wanting somebody oh so bad I wear my love darling without shame I'd be proud if you would wear my name I Wanna Marry You to most is a throwaway song just before The River on the album. But listening to one of the 2016 concerts revently, I really concentrated on the lyrics and they are just perfect.....
  2. Bruce's contribution to Live Aid was the stage set at Wembley. He had just finished his concerts there and left all the stage, lighting and speakers to be used for free, as far as I remember. In Geldofs book, he spent a long time trying to persuade Bruce, and Bruce later admitted he wished he'd just turned with his guitar and played something..
  3. I assumed he was a Pogues fan, when I first heard American Land. It was obviously influenced by this....
  4. If I should Fall behind... I'll get ma coat.

  6. I quite enjoyed that...didnt know much about her, but always like hearing other people's Bruce fandom...
  7. Do you have a fascination with cathedrals??
  8. If this is released on his official channel, might this be an Archive Release soon??
  9. Voted for BTR, but the back cover of WIESS with the band in the street is my all time favourite band photo ever...
  10. We're trudging through the dark in a world gone wrong..
  11. I get up every morning, I go to work each day...
  12. Of the officially released live concerts, how many are complete single performance? Tempe has songs missing. Live in Dublin has songs missing. Live in NYC is different nights spliced together. Unplugged was incomplete, I think. Is it just Hammersmith / Barcelona / Phoenix or are there songs missing there as well. There seems surprisingly few considering the popularity of the Archive series...
  13. Funnily enough it's not Bruce's energy for an E Street show that I am most worried about, it is Max. I know he had surgery on his hands a few years ago, but the effort required to pound those drums for over 3 hours, must be getting beyond him now....
  14. Saw Bruce Juice last night. Lead singer has all the moves and was pretty good. Rest of band were good musicians. Possibly the best looking Patti I have seen!!!! At Half Moon Pitney tonight
  15. Saw DB headline the Big Day Out on Glasgow Green in 1990. Free concert with an estimated 300,000 there. Big Country in support as well.... Magnificent night.
  16. Bruce has been nominated in the Best International Artist category this year. I have never heard of the other 4 nominees... As far as I know, he has never appeared or performed at the ceremony....maybe a first time for everything!!!
  17. I currently have a hire car in the USA that has Sirius. If I'm driving tomorrow, does E Street Radio announce the archive and then play it. Will it then be around 12.00EST??
  18. " Barefoot girl sitting on the hood of a dodge, drinking warm beer in the soft summer night..." Perfect!!!
  19. I saw it on the Sunday. There was no announcement regarding clapping at all. However during the film, I did really want to clap after each song, along with the audience in the barn but no one else was, so I stayed quiet. There was applause at the end, and hardly anyone moved until after all the credits.
