  1. Went for LTY .Both are very good.Just at this point i personally prefer LTY. It has fewer/hardly any songs i skip unlike Western Stars. If i were to compare song for song, prefer LTY for the first 7-8 songs but the last 4 of Western Stars
  2. Ipl is fun to watch except that the team i support,RCB are yet to win Quality is pretty decent. There are lot of folks who speak badly of the IPL ,particularly few ex cricketers. To me this is more of sour grapes. It has given a platform for may guys who would have gone unnoticed to shine and make their mark. Several guys from very modest bac grounds today enjoy a good life and whats not to like. The main difference between international matches and IPL could be that not all teams have 5 quality bowlers , so you could target. Now that Gayle is not playing, from the windies side, Pooran is an exciting player. Pollard is always dangerous. Rest of the guys did not play much except for Holder
  3. Would love to. Kinda getting used to relatively less spicy food these days, not sure if its due to my wife's cooking or age related india falling apart badly in the chase. Seems like they are still in IPL mode
  4. Doing Good Daisey, thank you. Our own city is now having less than 1 k positive cases a day which is much better than the 5 k+ we had consistently a month back. Seems like the worst is over. Would love to visit NZ one day as the general impression people here of NZ is that its a beautiful place with nice folks.May be this impression has come from watching over the years some of the players from NZ like Hadlee, Coney, Howarth and now Williamson. In Sydney, the Aussies are going great guns at 359 with still 10 balls to play and Smith has just scored a 100. This guy is amazing when he dons Australian colours
  5. Stupidity..Not that anyone is lining up to play Pakistan for Akhtar to say such dumb stuff. He is the same guy who once said he saw fear in Tendulkar and Dravid's eyes when they faced him forgetting the battering he got from Tendulkar in the 2003 world cup. Having made it he should have had the guts to stand his ground instead of completely changing his stance on India knowing that he would stand to lose lot of money from commentary in India
  6. i see that spectators have been allowed for the India Vs Australia One day series which began in Sydney today. No masks as well . Strange, in fact just last week we thought that with the measures in Adelaide , the Aussies were probably over reacting
  7. Sad. Greatest of all Time. The mark he left in 86 world cup was magical. Zico was my favorite based on the few matches we got to see of the 82 world cup. Mexico was the first world cup where we got to see all matches live. My brother would stay awake all night to watch all of Argentina's and Brazil's matches and then go to school the next day. It was not just the goals he score against Belgium and England but his presence in the entire tournament is something i have not witnessed since.
  8. My favorite along with One minute you're here.
  9. Loved the doc much more than Western Stars. Generally, i am not very emotional but parts of the documentary gets to you. These guys have been such an integral part of all our lives for so many years and to see Bruce talk about mortality got to me at some point. It was sad to see Landau losing it during I'll see you in my dreams. Downloaded the album from Apple Music and initial impressions...Burnin Train is my current favourite, love One minute you're here. The three old songs are my least favorites at the moment but repeated listens may make me change my mind. Overall a solid album. The band sounds great. Ron Aniello's production is wonderful as is Bob Clearmountain's mixes.
  10. Born in the USA- Amnesty tour,1988 There goes my miracle- Did not like it initially but has since grown on American Skin- Live in NYC Land of Hope and Dreams- Wrecking Ball This land is your land- London 1980 or was it 1981 Thunder Road and My Hometown from Christic Show
  11. So far i have not attempted to download. For me it's not a question another 4 days as the online sites in India including Amazon have not yet listed this. Ordered through a UK website and last time it took almost 30 days and that was pre-covid. God knows how long it will take now.Am assuming like always it will be up on Amazon music and spotify on the day of release, if not may get tempted to look for other sources. Do i feel guilty.No. i have bought everything Bruce has ever put out, including multiple copies if there is a even slight defect. I bought the Tracks complete set as well as 18 tracks just because it had 4 songs which should have been on the 4 CD set but was intentionally kept out. While i can wait 5 years for a new album, its difficult to wait even for a month when i know that the album is out and i cant hear it.Just my personal opinion
  12. Dont think anyone follows IPL here. One thing that stands out is the amazing fielding. This is one department which has improved leaps and bounds. What would have been sure sixes couple of years back are now getting converted to catches or atleast 2-3 runs. There was a crazy match last evening which went into 2 super overs, this is what should have been done in the world cup rather than the stupid boundary count. Also, AB De Villiers continues to enthrall. This guy's popularity all over India is astounding, particularly in my hometown,Bangalore. I would guess that barring Tendulkar in his prime and Dravid who happens to be a local guy , there is no one who can match his popularity here, not even Kohli. Chris Gayle enjoyed this for about 3-4 years. International cricket is poorer with him having resigned. If i have to stick my neck out I would say he is the most talented batsman i have ever seen
  13. The IPL is being played in the Gulf this year. In yesterday's match Nicholas Pooran from WI pulled off what KP said was the best save he has ever seen. While batting and bowling one may always debate if the standards are dropping but no doubt modern day fielding is something else.
  14. First listen i liked it but thought it was ok, not great. But on subsequent listens this has really grown on me. Is George Theis's ghost in on this song?
  15. Dean Jones passes away following a heart attack today in Mumbai. Enjoyed his batting. RIP
  16. I just love what Ron Aniello is doing to Bruce's music. Wish he had produced Rising, D&D and Magic
  17. Had no clue when i went to bed last night that a new Bruce album is out shortly and a video would be premiered today. Something good finally on 2020. Also, i think Bruce's vocals are getting better with age. Some of his best vocals for me on this track and Western Stars
  18. MS.Dhoni announced his retirement from international cricket last week. Probably the most popular cricketer besides Tendulkar in our cricket crazy country,Dhoni apart from being the one of the best finishers in the game brought in much needed calmness and dignity on the field.
  19. Sunil Gavaskar always rated Andy Roberts as the best bowler he had faced. Was little young when Lillie and Thommo were in their prime and moreover we did not TV back in the 70's in Bangalore but back then i guess bowlers could intimidate the batsmen as protective equipment was not what it is today and moreover the pitches were uncovered. There were no bouncer limitations as well. Amongst the quicks that i have seen i would rate Wasim Akram the best and amongst the current crop it would have to be Dale Steyn.
  20. Been watching Suits since the last couple of weeks. Not seen before. Advantage of coming so late to the party is that now i can binge watch and finish the whole series.. Also, now that Western Stars is up on Amazon , i might watch that again
  21. I just saw that Western Stars movie is streaming on Amazon. Don't know long its been up
  22. Actually our domestic matches are played to near empty stadiums, unless the match is in Tier 2 location where they do not get to see much cricket
