  1. I wouldn't jump into conclusions just yet if I were you. Like I said the other day, I don't know what's gonna happen to my fandom in the end.
  2. In way I'm not surprised I seem to be the only one who's pissed because of the advert. I certainly do not expect Bruce to be perfect (and I don't care if he fuc** things up in his private life) but for me, it's not like he can do literally anything and I just shrug my shoulders. What he has done now is, IMO, probably the most ridiculous, embarrassing and cheapest thing an artist can ever do career-wise. So, I can't help feeling the way I do. I realized just the other day I'm not proud to be a Bruce fan anymore.
  3. My fandom is wavering big time because of the car advertisement. I find the whole thing just plain ridiculous and such a cheap thing to do. There's no way I could ever justify it. It's not the first time Bruce has made a career move I'm not happy about but now he has certainly crossed a line he should've never crossed. In my books, no self-respecting artist who wants to be taken seriously agrees to polish a commercial brand other than their own. So, I don't think I can respect Bruce as an artist anymore. I never thought this day would ever come so this is a lot to take in. Obviously, I still l
  4. I did like the first song. I'm familiar with some Ryan and Lucinda songs but I'm not really keen on their work (I'm very picky when it comes to music ).
  5. My thoughts exactly! To be honest, I'm shocked, pissed and disappointed. I can't believe he's actually agreed to polish a car manufacturer's brand. I mean seriously.
  6. Now this is the type of music that floats my boat! I gotta learn more about this guy's work (I've never heard of him before). Based on these songs, his writing style is very Springsteenish indeed. Thanks for bringing Slaid to my attention!
  7. I get where you're coming from. When it comes to listening to studio albums, I'm pretty much the same as I don't like to skip or shuffle songs.
  8. I'm pretty much the same. I love hearing live stuff but I hardly ever listen to full shows. Instead, I usually listen to random live songs from here and there. I've never felt the need to buy massive piles of live releases in any format (I prefer spending my hard-earned money on seeing Bruce live).
  9. I'm late to the party but if I could still vote, I'd vote for WS. Even though the album isn't my cup of tea musically, I prefer it lyric-wise. Furthermore, unlike LTY, I find WS very solid and coherent as a whole.
  10. I only very recently listened to the Trenton version and immediately fell in love with it. I like the band version, too, but I think I actually prefer the solo version.
  11. Me neither, actually. Also, I don't like HOATG as a song at all. What I really did enjoy was Long Walk Home. Bruce's voice sounded great.
  12. I'm not that impressed by the song, but I think Bruce's voice sounds good and fits the song very well.
  13. On repeat. I just can't get over how awesome this is. Oh man... (Thanks for posting this, JimCT!)
  14. I just listened to the live versions of Soul Driver posted above and all I can say is wow... Amazing performances that bring the song to a whole new level. And that voice..! Brucebumps...
  15. My favourite live version of She's the One? All of them! However, I really, really love the one with the harmonica intro from the 70's. That intro just knocks me off my feet every time I hear it!
  16. Our Western neighbours can correct me if I'm wrong but I think people sometimes call him Brucan in Sweden. I guess the only way to translate it would be "The Bruce" (it doesn't translate very well). Then there's also Brucie, which I've read and heard fans use at times. For me personally, he's simply Bruce.
  17. This is a sublime performance of one of the greatest songs written by anyone, ever. I got massive Brucebumps all over my body and shivers down my spine during the whole song. Now playing: A Night with the Jersey Devil
  18. A great interview indeed! I really enjoyed listening to it. Apparently the songs got edited out, which is a shame (I wonder why they did that...).
  19. That makes two of us. Bruce's vocals are great but the song just doesn't work for me at all. I find it boring and lame and... I dislike practically everything about it. I don't mind it's a ballad (if you can call this a ballad), even though I had expected it to be a rocker, but a song like this should've never been released. I'm with the half of us who love Rainmaker and dislike HOATG.
  20. I'm the different kid who really likes Rainmaker and dislikes HOATG.
  21. Yes! All the old songs are fabulous, but this one is my very favourite. I didn't know what hit me the first time I listened to this version and I just can't get over how fantastic it is. Oh man... Of the new songs, Rainmaker became an instant favourite. I really like it a lot! After a few listens, I think One Minute Your're Here (as someone said, this one could almost be from TGOTJ) and Burnin' Train are growing on me. I'm kind of ambivalent about I'll See You in My Dreams. Even though I'm not a huge fan of the song, it makes me cry like a baby. I was an emotional wreck after h
  22. I couldn't agree more! It's a fantastic performance that gives me Brucebumps every time I listen to it.
