"Sidify Music Converter" (Professional Version).  I paid for a month to month subscription just to record these podcasts, and now I'll cancel it. :)  I also subscribed to "Spotify Premium" just for these podcasts.

Absolute legend mate. I only downloaded the Spotify app to listen to these and the advertising killed it. Was waiting to find these online somewhere instead. Shout you a beer next time in Brissie! Cheers

can " I'll See You In My Dreams" be put on the it's ok for grown men can cry list?

Well Jon Landau would surely agree given his visible emotion in the film sitting at the deck listening to it.

Didn't mind the film but for me it would have been much much better served had it featured less (IE: all of the) faux promo videos and showed more in studio banter/ song creation.

  3. My Amazon pre-order of "All The Songs" arrived this afternoon (was surprised at the Sunday Australia Post delivery!) and like the Stones' edition of this series the book is an absolute door-stop! Had a quick flick through, looks nicely put together. Only initial complaint is a BITUSA cover image.

The Amazon price of AU$55 was quite reasonable

Also have the Hiatt book but still haven't found time to really check it out. Xmas/New Year break I'd hope to engage both of them.

There are some nice 1976 soundboards circulating as well. I can share if you like

More generosity from you, thanks mate. What '76 SBD's are you talking about? The only one I have is 1976-04-29, Ellis Auditorium, Memphis TN

(I actually already have the earlmv edit of Richfield '78)

did you buy any of the nugs releases from the 2016 anniversary tour ?

    Hey Daisey,

yeah I have a handful of shows from 2016-2017 and funnily enough all of them are when Bruce discarded The River setlist. I do have the New York 2009 show. The River is in my top 5. Great album. But I do think it's a bit bloated and a head scratcher as to why some of the better material that was left behind. But that's part of the intrigue of the man I suppose. Funnily enough, I have my own Springsteen compilation (65 tracks at present) and The River sessions is the most represented but half are discarded tracks.

I found the 78 version of Prove it all night and the video of the 19 09 78 Passaic gig

how great at those Passaic gigs. Easily my favourites. Some genius out there synced the Nugs audio to the in house video footage although I prefer the original 4:3 aspect from earlier releases.

too have never been won over by the “Born To Run” album.  Something about the production sounds too busy and cluttered

    The "wall of sound"?

it's #4 for me probably in the album rankings. Since no one asked I have the top 3 as Darkness, Tunnel, Nebraska. (The River could easily be included and/or knocking at the door if it wasn't so bloated and guilty of overlooking far better material that was selected for its final release. IE: how on earth was Restless Nights overlooked?)

Then I recommend to pick up the Nugs TOL-show from Stockholm 1988

I've got all the Nugs releases up until 2003 and about 10 or so from 05-17. I'm not as critical of the sound quality of a lot of them as have read elsewhere but the only one I did wince at was the first Winterland... that's hard on the ears.

Back to 88... I think Detroit is my favourite show from those.

I'll ask the "what's your favourite song?" question to get the replies rolling.

    "Adam Raised A Cain"

As I mentioned, I went on a dive in chronological order and I wasn't exactly "feeling it"* after the first 3 albums. Then Adam Raised A Cain came on and I sat upright in my chair and thought "where the ____ did this come from" and that kept me going wondering what other gold was to be found. For that reason alone it has to be my favourite.

*I've since been able to correct this
