If multi tracks exist then yes absolutely, but I'm not sure they do. In any event, the Steve Hopkins remasters in 24/96 are incredible. The sound quality captured from those audience bootleg tapes captured with basic 70’s equipment is bordering on obscene.

    would love to hear those!

A non album Working on a Dream show.

I actually would support that. I know the tour was rough at points, but some of the covers done during that tour deserve an official release.

While I really like the album shows, I often gravitate towards the album portion only. Whereas I really enjoy the Nassau show as as show. Also love Express Way

  4. This Rolling Stone article makes it sound like a documentary which features the performances. While i'm disappointed in this as i'm not a video person (in other words won't watch more than once if at all), won't buy audio since i'm not an audiofile and already have nugs, and would have much preferred a box with new music, i'm curious to see how this is actually organized in terms of presentation.

I think, at some point, there will be an opening of the film archive. Maybe a career spanning set of DVD/BRs covering his whole career. Maybe that's the "something exciting" that Thom Zimny said he was working on. The New Orléans show was just put up on YouTube and not made available for sale.

All highly speculative I know, but something of this nature seems (to me at least) a possible explanation for why they might have pulled the download.

    When did Zimny say this?

Forgive me my ignorance guys, but what makes that Wembly 2002 show so special?

I would suggest you would need a time machine to take you back to 2002, but i've been here since then and other than a great sounding boot, I have never been able to figure this out. Also if you use the time machine you may have to live through 2020 again, so maybe not worth the risk!

I wonder if they have been hit by early production of whatever the new release is for fall (CD plant) and that’s what took so long.
August and September last year we got Wembley 2006 & East Rutherford #2 1984 after delays - I’d imagine the beginning of pressings for Letter to You fell into that.
I bet the next two will probably be D&D/Seeger.

April and May last year were on time despite those being during a pretty much shutdown period - I wonder if multiple get done at once. Those shows were from 2012 & 1981.

I would think that the Nugs cd burning center would be separate from Sony/Columbia.

I think that one was delayed because of needing to get approval given that it was part of something else - probably having to go through Neil Young to green light it. Probably why no Vote for Change show  has arrived.

I think VFC is probably lost along with the rising. Rather than then guest aspect

I meant more along the lines of us all thinking:

'oooo must be a really special show if there is a delay'

It rarely works out like that. I've gotten really excited in the past thinking a special show was gonna follow a delay only for it to be something like the Bridge Benefit '86.

So were getting Bridge 95? And who says that would be better than the Ovens show! :)

I contacted nugs and they said “anything is possible” as far as Barcelona goes - never say never.
I wonder how they were able to release June 27 & July 1, 2000 knowing they used those shows for Live in New York City.

I would guess that the difference there is that they only used part of the shows for LINYC. Whereas Barcelona was the full show.

But if they have the masters accessible, could do a better mix and are able to get another rising show out, i'm certainly willing to buy it!

Barcelona wouldn't be impossible, but has the complication of already being licenced to Sony for the DVD.

However, Sony's 12.5% cut of the Archive revenue might encourage them to give the necessary consent. When Houston and the 'missing' songs from Tempe were released it was expressly stated that it was being done with Sony's consent.

The question with Barcelona is whether or not the files are saved off of the storage system. There is no reason to think that the masters (which they presumably had no issue accessing in 2002/2003) were kept in some other format. If they were not, then it would be the same issue - inability to access.

Assuming that is the case (they are only on the storage system), the question then becomes can they extract the audio only from the DVD, and if so, would they be both happy with that mix and legally able to release the exact same mix through nugs.

Another delay. Is there a hint in this?

So i'm going to start by saying it ain't gonna happen, but there is:
    1976-03-29 Ovens Auditorium, Charlotte, NC

Doubt they have it, unless it was in that box with the 1977 shows.

He did play the same venue one other time on the Joad tour, but seems too recent for that, if they even recorded it.

    I remember reading that.

Does anyone else remember the talk of a 2005 D&D show that was professionally recorded and filmed for intended home video release (I wanna say either Boston or Dublin?) but Bruce was too intoxicated during the show to allow it to be released?

Boston. The matamoras bank video released a year or so ago is from that show.
