  1. No problem. I don’t recall that ever being mentioned, so interested to find out if that is indeed the case
  2. I thought you were looking for recording date, which is included here, guess I mis understood. Don’t have easy access to the booklet at the moment.
  3. 14. Brothers Under the Bridge RECORDING LOCATION: Thrill Hill Recording, Los Angeles, CA RECORDING DATE: May 22, 1995 HISTORY: The only outtake to be released from The Ghost of Tom Joad album sessions, “Brothers” debuted on the first leg of the Joad tour, on December 16, 1995 in Boston. The title was familiar as a Born in the U.S.A. outtake, but Tracks confirms that the title is the only commonality. Paired nightly from that point on with “Born in the U.S.A.”—and occasionally with “Shut Out the Light” as well—“Brothers” became part of a bigger tale of veterans returning home from Vietnam. In per- formance, perhaps as part of a continuing effort to reduce the number of “Billy”s in his songs, Bruce changed the character from Billy Devon to Jimmy Devon. BRUCE SAYS: “This is a song set in the San Gabriel Mountains, a mountain range in between the San Fernando Valley and the Mojave Desert, just outside of Los Angeles. Los Angeles is a funny town, because you can go about 25 minutes east, and you hit the foothills of these mountains. And you’ll go for 100 miles and there might be one little store. There’s a little town up around 7,000 feet, and the rest is just pines, takes you down the other side into the desert. There was a group of homeless Vietnam vets that had left L.A. to set up a camp, a camp out there in the mountains. This is a story about one of them who has a grown daughter that he’s never seen, and she grows up, and she comes looking for her dad. And what he tells her.” —concert introduction, April 24, 1996

  5. Agreed. Really hoping that they released Joad shows with the rest of the Joad your songs on it. I think these are as close to official as we will get for pilgrim in the temple of love etc. Fully agree about needing the Guthrie Joad song. It was an essentially part of the tour. The one show I really hope, but doubt they have, is the 96 Salt Lake City show. If I recall correctly, this is the one show of the entire tour that was not booted. So it would be nice to get it.
  6. Thanks for the help with 1977!! For 1992-08-02 i'm trying to get a sense of what the best version of this show is, so i can download it.
  7. Hi does anyone have 'Nothing To Lose: The 1977 Tour Revisited Volume One'. I downloaded something proporting to be this download, but its really distant at times (like to the point its almost unlistenable). is this the correct file? Brucebase describes it as "A second high quality source entered into wide circulation in February 2015 (JEMS) as 'Nothing To Lose: The 1977 Tour Revisited Volume One'. This second recording is the so called "official audience recording" recorded by the sound crew using open air mics." so it doesn't seem like the same show i'm listening too. Also what is the best version of 8/2/92?
  8. Don’t really know how to answer this without spoilers so I hope it’s ok to say didn’t need to see 2 plus hours coming up with and pulling together a plan to set up the end. It was drawn out and overwrought and just didn’t think it was that great.
  9. Was honestly bored the first two hours, but the last hour was epic. Won’t see it again in theaters, can’t sit through first two hours again.
  10. Can anyone upload the IEM version of 2005-11-21 Sovereign Bank Arena, Trenton, NJ? Thanks!
  11. Ok so if there is no issue with the files uploaded by @Badlands_89, what might cause these 3 files to not decode for me, if they are decoding for you?
  12. I'm very confused. Honestly all of the technical stuff is not my thing. I still can't get these 3 files to decode. I downloaded them again and still nada.
  13. @Badlands_89 Thanks for posting this. I'm not sure if it is just an issue with my download but tracks "205 Candy’s Room.flac" "208 Mona , Preacher’s Daughter.flac", and "209 She’s the One.flac" won't decode. Is anyone else having the same issue?
  14. As someone who was in this position a mere six years ago I can tell you that the who 30 thing is no biggie! How you feel in yourself is all that matters!
