    Don't click this spoiler.

There are those that believe this is fake. I will love it if true. Flynn's podcast covers the 15th anniversary. I tweeted that I hoped it would be a show from this tour. He liked it.

    Bring it on.

Wasn't there a SOB show which was special for... I can't remember what, but he changed the setlist slightly and said something about Trump.. ? What was the occasion?

He mentioned the kids in cages, as well as the March on Washington.

He doesnt need to make a statement, its all throughout his music.

I expect a good show to be released regardless.

  3. Dave Marsh wrote, in Glory Days, that a '84 version of Racing wasnt recorded. I hope he was wrong.

A fall 84 show would be a welcome addition to the series...until then I will cherrish the reccently released Oakland shows as well as Lincoln and Kansas City.

I bought KC as a 5 LP box in the summer of '86. It was the birth of my collecting days, supplementing my 1st tape trade. That day I got Stockholm '81, The Roxy '78, and the Bridge Benefit. Kansas City '84 is one of the greatest audience recordings I have ever heard.

I agree, the Adam / No Surrender link is more tenuous. But I do get the sense that where Adam has the narrator pondering being trapped in the same life as his father, in No Surrender the narrator has successfully created his own life. Some place of his own, with these drums and these guitars. It is literraly how Bruce himself got out of living the same life his father had.

That full band 85 Thunder Road to close is a good idea... I like that.

I agree with the sequencing... for anyone who hasn't listened to this in it's original five vinyl album (10 sides) format, it's well worth breaking down and listening to parts in that way. Aside from the opening TR-Sandy and closing BTR-Jersey Girl sides, other great pieces here are the Badlands-Racing sequence and the BITUSA / Seeds / River album side.

For me, the one song selection that could've retained the integrity of what was presented but made the whole thing even stronger was if Glory Days was included in the exact spot where Darlington and Working On The Highway are, with the latter two removed. You just went through the BITUSA - River sequence, followed by War. Suddenly, you get the two more throwaway rockers before the weightier Promised Land. Glory Days and it's Father Time ponderings would've made this section even stronger narratively IMO.

I love the Japanese 5 disc version in that it allows you to follow the story better. It is a story told through live performances between 1975-85. I loved it upon release, and as I grew in my fascination it lead me to the boots. The boots closed the deal. I am a fanatic.

I wonder how "in the know" he is on these matters? If Bruce Co/Nugs lets him know what the release is going to be.

Also, I hope it isn't 2005. We need something happy and energizing and uplifting. D&D doesn't go together with those words in my mind.

He knows more than we do. But in the end he's a fan like us. And a good twitter follow as well.

I could dig a good 2005 show, but in my heart I think another "big" release. Or a magic show. I am really feelin that right now.

"Its not about magic, its about tricks." G W Bush seems like a statesman compared to trump now. His senior staffers have joined forces to start a group to work to defeat him.

But back on task. D&D works for me.

    Prediction: Nashville '08.

    But then again...Holy Shit.
