WRECKING BALL album....and related

Bruce's new album is not alone in its struggle for USA sales......Madonna's new album (MDNA), which was released just after Bruce's, is also struggling in the USA yet is doing quite well in certain overseas markets.

I read that Madonna's new album totally bombed in the USA. They gave a copy to everyone who bought a ticket for her tour. Otherwise the numbers would have been embarrassing. Is that true?

Madonna's album is falling faster than Bruce's in the UK...the Madonna album is good.....No one sells albums anymore unless your Adele, and she'll never sell that much again

WB was pushed by HMV in UK and Ireland as the ideal 'Father Day' present (last Sunday). Funny posters with Bruce's face and 'for Dad' written beside him. That's rock'n'roll.

Haha yeah, I walked by the massive "For Dads Who Love Rock" sign wearing my BS t-shirt and, as a childless 18 year old, had a giggle at the irony. (Although it would hardly be uncommon in Scotland ;) )

It pretty much was, and there was no shortage of people standing either. 10000 free spaces? Seems strange.

I checked several times on Ticketmaster for availability, and there was nothing, so I'd agree that doesn't sound right.

I checked several times too, and nothing available, and also Madrid with 54.639 doesn't seem right, if you look at the footage of that show it looks like there were about 80.000 in that stadium, that stadium has 6 rings of people!

Very, very disappointing sales figures in America! Still wondering where all those fall date rumours come from, because based on these figures a large American tour would be a high financial risk.

There is just not a big enough demand for his new music to justify an extensive USA tour; sell outs are unlikely, unless they will play in very small venues.

That would be disastrous; after all Bruce is still the Boss; his very successful European stadium tour proves that. Really hope his American fans don t let our hero down and show up at his shows. The concerts are amazing; you won t be disappointed.

That is amazing. Probably because Greatest Hits has been selling at €4.99 and people picked up a copy with WB.

Any figures for the Red Box? Seems popular with people I know and makes alot of financial sense. How does it figure in overall sales/charts?

(Thanks Earthslayer for all the best posts on any Boss discussion board!)
