Gijón, one-off concert

Just a few months back Bruce Springsteen & The E Street Band announced new European dates for 2013, and although they’ve kept us waiting, their official return to Spain has at last been confirmed. On top of the 35 new dates for the second part of theWrecking Ball World Tour, a new date in Spain has been added. Gijón will host Bruce Springsteen’s return to Spain on 26th June in the refurbished El Molinón Stadium. This is the only concert planned for 2013, and there is no possibility of further Spanish concerts being added.

Tickets will be available from 10am on Thursday, 28th February, throughwww.doctormusic.com and www.ticketmaster.es as well as from Fnac, Carrefour, by calling 902 15 00 25 and from the usual outlets of the Ticketmaster network. The price of tickets will be 55, 65 and 75 Euros for reserved seats and 65 Euros for general admission (booking fees not included). Also in this sale, fans from Gijón will have the chance to buy general admission tickets from the Teatro Jovellanos.

final area show....

Accoording to the local press (El Commercio, Nueva Espana), It seems the City of Gijon required, by contract, to be the only Spanish city to be visited in 2013. Basically, they paid to have the exclusivity.

On FB, it looks like the Spaniards aren't very satisfied. He came there 6 times last year, so they're hardly getting gypped.

8 shows in scandinavia and only one in spain!?! You must be jocking!!

Just 1 show in Spain? That's the worst European tour EVER... Another thing to 'thank' Mariano for! It must be Bruce's subtle way of putting pressure on our pathetic government.

Only one show in Spain?, really?, i think we deserve much more from you, of course i won't spend about 250 euros, i'm very disapointed with this decision.

Very bad,we want more concerts in spain...

updated with FINAL 2013 Itinerary

When have they announced that? Wouldn't be surprised if a festival or two still pops up.

And I just don't see Bruce ending the tour without a final string of US dates.

I was referring to Europe. There will be US dates, of course.

Worth bearing in mind that Rio show is as yet unconfirmed (fact), and that if so, the band are contracted until then, or with the option of an extension until then, I assume ?

Some speculation that he might do new dates behind a new release, but I don't know, just joining the speculation on that part of it.

Also worth mentioning is how the Chile show was announced
http://brucespringsteen.net/news/2013/new-show-added-in-chile

Before the final performance of the Wrecking Ball Tour at Rock in Rio, Bruce & the E Street Band will make an additional stop in Santiago, Chile!
Tickets to the September 12th concert at the Movistar Arena in Santiago will go on sale next Wednesday, July 23rd at puntoticket.com

Guess it ends with Rock in Rio.
