Does anyone know how long the queue were actually supplied with tickets before they shut the windows? eventim, seetickets and TM were also selling these,13k tickets were never going to last long. What does surprise me is the lack of tickets on getmein,TMs "official" tout site, might indicate they never had many in the first place?

I think there must have been of a lot that have gone to the corporates, as you said, there has never been a massive number on the secondary sites. I kept checking to see if I could get anything better than I already had but there only ever seemed to be certain blocks available, I don't remember ever seeing any tickets from the central lower tier blocks being available on any of the touting sites.

It might be a good idea for people who did get lucky with tickets to post the block they are in, and how they purchased (online, phone, box office) just to see if any blocks have been held back. We probably wont have a big enough sample to get any meaningful info but worth a try!

I'll get the ball rolling, I'm in:

Block 219

Purchased from EventIM

Bock 219, 02 pre-sale

Cabby needs a ticket for Leeds......this is a blatant attempt to reach out and tug the heartstrings of the many, many lakers over the years who I have helped out with tickets......

I went to the arena today. Forget the boxes - suited up, American accent, I figured let's see where that got me. Nowhere. Not available for a single show, at least for now.

Those who have been preaching Eventim seem to be correct. No info about drops but if they come from the arena that's where they are headed. Or so I'm told.

Called my two members of the Council today. Reached one. They expect to personally get tickets which, clams my Councilor, she has already promised a constituent. What I think is important here is she does not yet have her ticket(s). Obviously if there are a number of tickets still to be released to rather disinterested parties the secondary market may experience an increase in tickets and a price reduction.

No great hope. I reacted to today by buying tickets for Rome. Still, I now plan on stopping off daily asking if anything is available on the theory if I'm enough of a pain they'll give me something to go away. Not likely but...

I've written a few letters to live nation and a few MPs. I need to get in touch with some Leeds councillors just to try basically

I can understand there is obvious disappointment but with all that is going on in the world these days, should MP's really be spending time investigating what can be done to ensure fans can get into concerts?

They do not have to investigate just sell us the extras they no doubt have...

Tony at First Direct Arena does not even have a ticket. They are that hard to get hold of. My understanding is that all band holds and charity tickets are spoken for also.

But there may be a drop.

Please don't message me asking me to buy you tickets if we have never met or spoken before. It won't happen. (People have!)

I can definitely confirm the above. They are actually quite open about the possibility of a drop.

Spoken for, yes, but, at least in part, distributed no. The only reason that matters would be one would expect an increase in supply to relatively disinterested parties would lead to increased supply on the secondary market and decreased prices. In reality, who knows? The more I hear about Cardiff the more excited I am about that show anyway...

Well thanks.

Any drop will be via Eventim. They release tickets at two times Midnight and 4am (ish) - if you want a ticket, you need to check at those two times. But not for a while yet.

I've just spotted this on the Backstreets board: http://www.backstreets.com/btx/viewtopic.php?f=3&t=769790

For the benefit of non btxers this refers to a post made yesterday.

"Having failed to get a GA on the onsale date I bought a ticket via a company called Ticketola at the end of Feb.

They have phoned me today to say that their seller has just been raided by Trading Standards and closed down, with all his tickets being seized. Apparently this is to do with credit card fraud. It would appear he bought the tickets, but with credit cards in false names etc. Ticketola is a relatively small outfit; I used them because they did not charge an arm and a leg in commission and because they have a good reputation in this murky market. It seems clear that this problem is not of their making. Indeed the chap I spoke to is currently doing everything he can to source a ticket elsewhere, although he also offered me the option of a full refund as well. Indeed, he seemed relatively confident of finding a single ticket, and he clearly understood the specific market for this show.

I pass this information on because he told me that the guy who has been raided is a substantial ticket tout and apparently Seatwave have about £250,000 of business at risk because of him (I hasten to add these are not all Springsteen tickets!). I don't know his name but his company is based in Milton Keynes, so if anyone else has bought tickets via Seatwave / Viagogo etc you may want to check everything is OK with them. Apparently it was our friends at Ticketmaster who spotted the fraud so I guess, on the plus side at some stage these tickets will be resold in a drop.

In the meantime, if anyone has a spare GA..................."

Hi, anybody doing anything on this? amyj606, you mentioned a PM to casino nancy in a previous post. I'd welcome an update, especially if there's anything I can do to help. Irrespective of the chances of a drop, I think it would be good not to take it on the chin and kick up a fuss, just for future reference. The worst that can happen is that we waste a bit of energy. PM me if you prefer. THANKS!

In case you haven't seen this and want to be outraged: http://www.yorkshireeveningpost.co.uk/news/latest-news/top-stories/bruce-springsteen-leeds-arena-gig-ticket-on-sale-for-1-400-1-5821687 - parasites ripping people off in the black market are celebrated here - nothing wrong with what's going on, they don't even mention it's illegal, it's just a sign of success and they are proud of it. Some people have no shame. The Stones set their prices so that only rich people could get the tickets. Bruce didn't, but this article makes it sound like there's no difference and it's all good. Can somebody local (as many as possible - please flood them) write a stinking letter to the paper about the shoddy journalism and the outrageous tone of the article?

I will get a letter to them. I've just had a reply from Nick Clegg re the ticket situation but I have to contact my own MP which I have done. I was just thinking big...I have also been in touch with a site called Louder Than War - they maybe running something I've written on tickets and touts which is about Bruce but mentions other artists. I am just waiting to hear back

Shameful. I have written many letters of complaint to various people about this- including the Leeds Arena themselves- whose attitude to the whole thing is just belligerent. I sent them a message via their facebook account asking how they intended to deal with the issue, and was barred from their facebook page as a result!

I noticed Iron Maiden taking new measures to keep touts out for their two forthcoming 02 shows- photo id needed to pick up the tickets etc. Makes sense to me.

Anyway, I started this petition when the tickets went on sale- still open at the moment, please feel free to sign. I'll close it just before the gig and send it on.

amyj606- I notice you're in Sheffield too. Who is your local MP?

I signed your petition kudos to you...My local MP is Sarah Champion I've just emailed her and I'm awaiting a response from her and Louder Than War. I also contacted Leeds' Mayor but had no response.
