For those with no rush to get there the 10.49 which arrives at 15.22 and 12.05 which gets there 16.22 are £20

FFS. Oh well, no point in worrying about that now. At least it means we should have no stress if the train is a bit delayed. Even if we have paid twice as much.

Always possible.

Spot on Kev.

A complete one off chance to have a nice easy day prior to an ESB gig. Bit of a lie in, breakfast, kip on the train, check into hotel, light meal and then stroll up to the venue with a great seated ticket in my pocket.

Should be special.

GA tickets are great but for this one occasion - totally agree that the appeal of a hometown show with no queuing and a couple of no stress beers - massively appeals

Cardiff to Leeds via Bristol is now up for £39

Yep, I cannot see it getting much better priced so I am going for that also.

09:55 from Cardiff, arrives 14:01. -_-

Gone for the 8:55 for us, our hotel is close to the station so should be ok

Thanks, both of you, I've booked (9.55) too.

Lots of important peeps on th 9.55 i bet you giuys are in first class though

Coach B (seat 80) and Coach D (14A) for me.

That is assuming both of those are forward facing.

If not, I will be sat elsewhere.

Vomiting en route to Yorkshire will not add to this special day.

Nice idea but I will no doubt be doing the GA line routine.

The beauty of NY gigs is getting front barrier is a million times easier than you know who.

Santiago, Buffalo etc, we're there and yet we might actually meet on a train to Leeds. B and F for me.

> i'm pretty sure there were many other shows as well as these

> you should try and sneak into coach D that is the place to be

Don't sweat it. I travel by train all the time for work. Very rarely do I sit in my allocated seat. It's only the occasional travellers who bother with that:

Or old people;

or families with kids

or people who get it into their head that they must face forward

My new specs came from Leeds and that is as close as I will be getting. :(

That's the positive spirit ! - I keep checking every day at 4am for everyone :)

A few people at the Leeds office have tickets. :)

Fair do's - I just wanna be down the front(ish) for Ian McNabb........happy to move back a bit for NY so hoping there isn't much crush early on.

Yorkshire tends to have that effect on people. :P

It's the excitement of leaving all those other inferior places :D:D

thetrainline.com still have the cheap(er) tickets.

A good tip though is that you can avoid credit card charges by booking with one of the regional rail companies.

For instance I book all my rail tickets with www.southwesttrains.co.uk

Exactly the same prices, same trains but no credit card fee.
