The Official Belfast July 20th EuroSetListVision thread

Different but great setlist.

Still leaves me a little hope of hearing Incident for the first time ever at the Kilkenny gigs :-)

As I know the feeling of crying within a crowd of 45000 because of witnessing Incident being played ... I am crossing fingers for you!

Thanks. This will be my 13th and 14th shot at it

It was brilliant, Bruce less chatty than in the recent past, and we for off to a late start in main set. That probably cost us at least one more song. Thought the venue worked musically but was hard getting out of - as for getting a beer, forget it.

Put me in mind of a mini version of Hyde Park.

I am really curious to hear the report of those who were there: How was this setlist received by the Belfast crowd? How did Bruce introduce some of these songs? Were some of them requests?

When Bruce came out for the pre-show he made a comment on the lines of the fans making their decisions easy - they were making it easy for him to cheat! From the setlist you can see there were lots of Nebraska and River songs, so there you go - we're now writing the setlists :D

Setlist man came out and changed them all, I assume this is why Bruce was late on stage.

He said they practicised Fade Away backstage (Stevie's favourite he said).

Thanks everyone who did pit roll caps, organized queues etc, got 743 & got great spot, was within touchin distance of Bruce when he lifted the oil kid out of crowd, my camera died just then, how unlucky am I. Oh & o also got run over by a lady in a wheelchair, her "carer ?" all the way through the pit ALS little britan sketch. Pushed past everyone right up to front of stage fair play to them they got there but disgruntled several hundred peeps on there way thru. See ya all in KKn

That 'lady' was absolutely hammered, she freewheeled down the ramp out of the disabled platform and pretty much ploughed into the pit crowd. It looked really funny, but I guess a bit dangerous.

What wasn't so funny for me was all the Aiken Promotions 'VIP's' using the disabled platform as a viewing terrace with non-stop chatter through the whole show and no interest in the music until BITUSA. So maybe her kamikaze run was to get away from all of them. Need to get some James Bond style machine guns fitted to my wife's scooter..

i think riverdude said this show was reminiscent of Omaha last year - the first 10 or so songs were indeed very dark,,,,

missed the preshow sadly but didnt fell like queueing all day after a long transatlantic trip... at least he didnt play the I song!

the venue really wasnt very good (sorry belfast locals) having the only bathrooms a half-a-mile from the field was terrible - had to set off during bobby jean and then come back at the end of sunny day (in case a classic followed) due to all the water i had drunk...

enjoyed my time in the city - titanic exhibit really well done, lots of nice pubs and easy to get around

next stop CARDIFF!

Only have phone, so can't type much while I sit here at airport, which seems much like a Bruce pit convention. Fun!

Had best time last night. Great spot on side of centre podium, groped legs, hands and had Bruce sweat splashed onto my bottom lip, which I licked off so now have Springsteen DNA, right? ;) lol

Highlights-well the whole thing was pretty awesome, but fade away and Nebraska - oh my word!

All for now. So tired! See you in Leeds X

I'm at the airport just catching up with the forum. Had a fantastic time last night! What a show! For onceI didn't do the pit because I really struggle with the heat, ended up with the lovely Janemarywendy in front of the left side lighting rig, leaning on the barrier. I've never seen a show from that far back and I was really surprised how much I enjoyed it. Not the same as the pit but a very enjoyable spot.

The people round us were mostly really into the show. There was a group in front of us who didn't appear to care and spent the whole show nattering, drinking and taking photos of each other but they were harmless. It was a shame that they didn't appear to get it, but they didn't get in anyone's way. One girl near me was sick all over herself (heat she said, seemed unsurprising) but apart from that a fab night.

The ccrowd near us drifted off a bit during Nebraska but apart from that they were into it, especially Prove It, River, BitUSA & Shout I think.

Unique but awesome setlist. I was right up at the front right podium where Bruce and Nils sang Darlington County together.

However the highlight of my night was when I was talking to someone on the way home (I live close to the venue) when a van drove out of the side gate. All of a sudden Bruce hops out, shook our hands, thanked us for coming to the show and hoped we enjoyed it.

Can't wait for next week now.
