November/December Australia Tour (inc Perth)

Recommended Posts

It's interesting to note that the reports say "Bruce Springsteen AND THE E STREET BAND". It confirms what many already thought would be the case but it's good news.

I'm hoping for Europe 2014! A 15-night-stand at the (not brand new anymore) Leeds Arena :D

I'm surprised if this is part of a new album tour when the final WB dates haven't been played yet and there's been no album announcement. This could be a little one-off tour for the hell of it, sort of, but not quite WB.

If it is the start of the cycle again, I can't see another European summer next year, how much does he think we earn?? It's got to be US first. Maybe do old school with Europe arenas in Autumn/Winter end of 2014, then Europe stadiums for Summer 2015. That seems the most likely balanced option to me.

You say how much does he think we earn but then suggest tour end of 2014 AND summer 2015?!That would bankrupt me, couldnt do it.

Seeing as he went into the studio for a while when he was in Australia this year- perhaps these days are booked around further recording sessions there? Would make sense- do a few shows to get the band tight again, then record?

Maybe or start the new tour in the place where they recorded it?

This...They recorded a bunch in Australia and then had a month back in the US where Bruce has a studio at the house. This album is done I very much think.

He just about sold out every concert in europe. Tens of thousands of people at all of them.

He could do the same again next sumer no problem at all.

Only a very small percent oif the folk at each show attend multiple shows.

And given how amazing his concerts are, im sure that many casual fans who just attended their first concert would find the money to attend again.

yes and there are many places in Europe that he played in 2012 and didn't return there in 2013 so you could put an itinerary together just from that pretty much. Must be Ullevi time again surely.

He must be coming back to Europe soon, because of what he said at Kilkenny - what was it, "back in a very little while" or something like that?

I think Coventry was sold out. Hard Rock was different as most fans were sulking and refusing to buy tickets. I wouldn't bother either next time.

Bruce only played Hard Rock to get HRC/Live Nation out of trouble after their deal with the Stones fell through and they had no one else lined up.

But think I'm right in saying that's how it worked with new album tours in the past. I remember my buddy going to see The Rising at Wembley Arena quite late one year, then we went together to Crystal Palace the following Summer. I think with Magic there was a Winter O2 show and then I saw him at Emirates the following Summer. You're being a little unfair to my intelligence there. I also think it's too soon for Europe when he's not played the States for a while. Again, based on the past, there's normally two legs in the US for a new album isn't there. It's not that I don't want more Europe dates, although I can't afford it at the mo, I'm just thinking about the past.

If this IS the case - and if we are ever fortunate enough to get an arena tour again in Europe - WHERE can we hope to see them play then!? - presumably any and all venues that are NOT owned by one of these groups!? - maybe he should go back to being freelance and just being with local promoters (like say Harvey Goldsmith in UK) and let them/Barry Bell approach "any" venue........Bruce has the pulling power to do it, I don't see why he has to be in bed with any big player!?

Well from what I can gather Fleetwood Mac and Jay Z are both Live Nation acts and they're still playing the London O2 this autumn, so I don't see why Bruce couldn't do the same. U2 tours are promoted by Live Nation and if the rumoured U2 tour next year does includes arena dates in Europe for the first time in over a decade it's hard to think that they would play anywhere else in London, especially as they've never played there. It's significantly the largest indoor concert venue in London (especially so with Earls Court now out of the equation).

yes and they paid him back with crappy sound and lousy camera work.

Stadiums in Adelaide and Melbourne???? Not arenas?? Rising Tour debacle was in stadiums wasn't it? And the glorious WB tour shows in Australia were in arenas. WHY?

Because the demand is there. This Springsteen fella is pretty popular these days.

didnt mean to insult you at all.I read your comment as meaning two mini tours rather than summer 2014?To me, that would be very tempting but couldnt afford to both but I supoose could do one show at end of year and one or two in sumer....We will have to see what happens!Exciting times again!

Sorry again.Lets get back to Bruce and being happy at all the rumours!

I wonder did he ever think he would be this popular approaching his 64th birthday?!He was always very popular I know but something really amazing happened around the time of the rising and ever since.A new lease of life, new inspiration, hes looking fantastic,he looks so happy on stage.its just fabulous.

Yes, please! And I wouldn´t mind Barcelona and San Sebastian. Not at all. This is a really good plan.
