November/December Australia Tour (inc Perth)

Recommended Posts

If Frontier do what they did this past tour, they will regularly be releasing additional tickets including in GA so I'm going to get what I can initially then keep an eye out to pick up tix over the next couple of months as I get my finances sorted out. I just spent $300 on a Leonard Cohen ticket last week so would have preferred a few extra pay periods to pass ... !

ETA: Booked a hotel in Pokolbin so hopefully that leaked date is right!!

This news of the band touring in 2014 is really not good news for those like me whose other halves hate Bruce !

I have only just told my old lady that ''that's it darling, tour over, no more shows, and the E Street Band have been retired by Bruce so the curtain has finally come down''.

It's going to be a VERY interesting conversation once she gets wind of (hopefully) European dates being advertised.

Looks like we're all going back to worship at the alter of the boss.

:o:o Johnny, I must've missed something along the way!

I'm really happy for all the fans down under - amazing what can happen when we're fast asleep 'over here'!

i'm believing the tour is happening but the melbourne venue is questionable - melbourne victory are playing on that date at AAMI park.

For what it's worth, I've been told the Sydney, hunter valley and Melbourne date and venue are correct, announced tonight.

Victory are playing western Sydney - that much was close to, if not a sell out last year so it could in theory be shifted to Etihad where victory also play some games?

You reckon a new album is a probability CN? I would live to think so, but apart from the brief Aussie sessions, when would have recorded it?

He's got a new album. Bruce doesn't talk to the press about tracks he has recorded unless they are very advanced. After all he records stuff all the time and drops it. I think this new album is about ready to pop. Plus we already know this is not the Wrecking Ball tour as he just announced the final dates for that.

I think they will just announce the Australia leg without a name and then after Rio we will get more announcements of song release or album release or new dates complete with new tour banner. B)

He had plenty of time to record this from the stuff they did in Australia on the road to the month break between Aus and Europe given that Bruce has a studio in his house. When tweets started appearing talking about Morello being all over the album and an Electric Tom Joad..the guy said he got that from a reliable source which was his friend who worked for Sony. If Sony have heard anything the album is pretty much done and I imagine they were being asked to support a new tour off the back of what they listened to. Tom Morello of course tweeted in July 2012 that he had been laying down tracks with an iconic rocker so Bruce might have had some stuff already.

Certainly Bruce was talking about doing more Seegar stuff quite seriously and that he had recorded a country album and looked at that but then he got some idea in Australia and off they went. Suddenly it was all systems go and all the US holds on sheds were cancelled.

What better way for Bruce to celebrate 50 years as a performer next July than playing for us all,

Just hope the pre-sales dates can be pushed back a few days from what was leaked on TripleM as I'll be flying over Dubai! Hopefully, will get a chance via the general releaseI dtaes. Want to do all the Eastern seaboard dates - that's why credit cards were invented I keep telling myself.

A Euro jaunt in 2014 would be so brilliant. I think he should replicate Kilkenny exactly as he did this year, a double header! It was that good.

U2 seem to waking up again, after another ridiculous 5 year gap between albums, so they will be taking their choreographed theatre on the road too next year.

As a Perth resident, this is just amazing news! Missed the Aussie tour but flew to Europe for the Cardiff show and am barely back here again and this news arrives. A good friend of mine works for a company very much involved in Bruce's life (no prizes for guessing who that is) and he just called me to say its been confirmed to them and will be announced at 10.01pm (Perth time) tonight. Under 5 hours to go!

Honestly, I wouldn't mess about with this. I emailed him the rumours this morning, he text me this afternoon that its on and I called him to make sure it wasn't a wind up.

Its true, its happening. Bruce is coming to Perth (and the rest of Australia too) and we will know all about it tonight
