Missing the Girls at Christmastime

Recommended Posts

This will be the first time in 17 years that my wife and daughter haven't been with me at Christmas. I still will see my dad and my sisters on Christmas Eve, but I dread coming home that night. I'll be truly facing separation for the first time.

Dude, I know its hard having gone through it a few years ago. The best advice I can give you is be strong, enjoy your Dad and sisters, and make the best of it. Christmas can be a hard time for people who are lonely, so go out and connect with those you love. Merry Christmas & Happy New Year, may next year be 10 times better than the last.

It can also be a hard time for those missing some folks. My family has had to face a few empty chairs this year, and those seats will never again be filled. Our holidays will never be the same. We skipped Thanksgiving this year for that reason. I agree with LegalWiz, do your best to make the most of it, and do your best to enjoy the time you have with your dad and sisters. Be strong and Merry Christmas!
