Amazing! I missed the last game cos I switched back to Corrie and by the time I remembered ... it was all over! Hope to watch that game later.

Well done, that man!

Any Wimbledon predictions out there ??

I like the look of Cilic.

He's a good tennis player, too. :)

I didn't mind at all - what a brilliant match! I really enjoyed watching the other fella - hope he doesn't buckle in his next one.

You don't think it can because I can't stand the horrible noises the other lass makes?

My favourite male players aren't British, be it English or Scottish.

Edit: But don't let facts get in the way, young man. ;)

I turned BBC1 on last night to watch the news but the tennis was on. I don't follow any sport but I found the that women's game quite compulsive viewing. I didn't know their names except neither of them was of Andy Murray but I was disappointed when I realised the cutest one in the shorts wasn't the British player.

You would have thought that there were only four men who could realistically win the title, but three of them are out before the semi finals?

Sport eh?

Cillic was nice at 4/1 but I'm guessing he's in now. I'll check.

Yes Jim, Andy and Mum Judy are pure class, and put so much back into the sport at home as well, the fact that he played the match to a finish without any histrionics was class. As usual he has done himself and his country proud, circumstances leading up to the tournament made me think that semi-final would be a success this time around, and boy he almost did it.

Andy you are without doubt the greatest ever sportsperson the UK has produced.

No disrespect to Andy, but I commend to your attention Nick Skelton (team gold @ London, individual gold @ Rio) and his partner Big Star, who retired together at Olympia in May. Nick's story, especially from injury to triumph and retirement, will endear him to any lover of his sport, or even just of sports in general. You can easily find his final Rio ride on youtube.

Yes I watched Rio and also Nick Skelton every year during The Horse Of The Year show all those years ago, and his story and performances are great, but imho what Andy has done these last few years overshadows all other UK sports people.
