What's disgusting about all of this is that everyone bar us will be absolutely furiously wanking themselves to death over this now.

I'm not joking, but f*** everyone, literally everyone, bar us, in this league. f*** them all. I've zero credit, sympathy, condolences, congratulations, whatever, to give for any of them anymore. They can all go f*** themselves. The majority of this league downs tools against these c*nts, refs afraid to give any big decisions against them, punits w*** over them. Meanwhile the difference is when it's us, the game gets raised, and they come out firing like its a cup final. f*** em all.

The greatest video ever made - the player, staff, fans and King Kenny singing YNWA after the game if you don't cry watching this you are probably dead inside https://www.liverpoolfc.com/news

Went yesterday, first time in two years. An absolute fantastic day, rounded off with meeting Mo after the game in the petrol station.

Go ahead and kneel José.

Yeah that's ridiculeous. Football fans huh.

Sucks big time to miss out on the title like this but can't blame the players, gave everything they had and then some. A fantastic and exciting season but not enough to beat City's squad.

Every club has them though - go on BlueMoon some time, for example...that lot are RABID.    Sadly the internet has a lot to answer for, as well as all the good stuff, like this place, youtube and porn... :)

As a Liverpool fan I can safely say that coming second with up to 97 points will suck but it's been such a fantastic season, with so many highs, even from half a world away, watching games in the early hours of the morning, trying not to wake up the house.

Looking forward to next season already.

To be fair there will be a replica PL trophy at Anfield on Sunday in case City don’t beat Brighton.

Maybe they can let LFC have that replica trophy instead of runners-up medals?

Porn!! Ha ha. I remember the challenge of being a pre internet teen and getting hold of a bit of Frankie Vaughan!! It built character and cunning!! By the time I’d secured a well thumbed copy of Razzle I was too exhausted to do anything with it.

Good to hear fans celebrating a great season. You’re not all whinging bastards obviously!

Thinks it’s a two horse race next season unless you lose players. Two incredible sides. As with most clubs - just a shame about the fans!

I think Liverpool has had a great season and have been a fine team to watch.  I think if they don't win it's an injustice and if they do (not over yet!) they would be worthy champions.

It's true every team has their idiot fans.  Poking fun at them is both deserved and kind of fun but it's not the same thing as poking fun at the team. I am an admirer of the Pittsburgh Steelers but I will state w/o hesitation they have some of the biggest morons in the NFL cheering them on.

This season has been really good with some truly excellant games and a good title race.  I'm happy to seem West Ham right the ship and playing respectable football, pleased to see Newcastle stay up and just delighted with Wolves.  I'll be sad to see this season end as well.

I agree with the bit about teams raising their game against us. Think Leeds Utd feel similar too. It’s been mentioned on the Guardian football podcast, so it’s not that far fetched.

I do think Man City are far superior football team us though. They should’ve won the quadruple and should win next season too.

Really? I thought both Burnley and Leicester really turned up against City. Even united with all their limitations gave it a go bless them.

I just don’t see the argument that teams have upped it against Liverpool at all.

It was brought up on football weekly about three weeks ago. So around the time we played Chelsea. Teams were resting players against City, the Watford game was prime example.

Totally agree that Burnley & Leicester left everything out on the pitch though.

Was that before Watford played in the FA cup though??

Might be misremembering.

Salah and Firmino still injured, Shaqiri and Origi start.

Alisson, Alexander-Arnold, Matip, Van Dijk, Robertson, Fabinho, Milner, Henderson, Mane, Shaqiri, Origi

Barcelona unchanged XI.

A big ask, can't see it happening but it's football so let's give it a try.
