Andy Lonergan is indeed the backup goalie for the foreseeable future and has travelled to Istanbul for the silly super cup

Wasn't he part of your pre-season as he hadn't got a club,at least with Adrian you have a keeper with decent Prem experience, seems like Allison might be out for a while though.

Wilson had a good season with the sheep & should be on the bench this year instead of being out on loan again.

Dodgy Dejan is gonna sign for Rome it seems. Klopp says he thinks highly of Dutch youngsters Hoever and Van Den Berg. Fabinho can play centre back too if needed. Very risky but I trust the Champions League winning manager.

Chelsea trusted Roberto Di Matteo.

Like the majority of last season. Liverpool win whilst looking shite.

Really, I thought it was a well played game on both sides of the ball. Mistakes, sure, but overall very entertaining.

Thought Chelsea were by far the better side for most of the game.

Unfortunately, yes.

Still glad the Reds made it, who will remember they played a lousy match when they put the trophy up...

I agree, with all the great matches and excitement that last years Champion League created, the championship game was a dud.

The important thing to remember is that Liverpool currently have two more trophies than Man U .. odd no one has mentioned that

Liverpool goalkeeper Adrian is a doubt for Saturday's Premier League game against Southampton after he was injured by a fan at the Super Cup.

Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp says Adrian's ankle was swollen after he was accidentally knocked over when a supporter who had encroached onto the field was chased by security.

Was this the one with his d*ck swinging around or was that another Liverpool supporter?

@AMIW   Sorry Andrew....

Dejan Lovren's move to Roma has reportedly been called off.

The Daily Mail say the Serie A side failed to make a concrete offer for the Liverpool defender.

Apparently Roma indicated they would make a £15m bid but failed to do so.

30 minutes in and it looks like there is cough syrup in Liverpool's water bottle.  Klopp is not going to be pleased.
