Buzzing off Pep’s comments on MOTD. Basically saying we win games by diving/cheating.
Sad he has to sink that low. Don’t worry, you’ll be able to spend another 50m on a full back in two months time.

An armpit? What a load of cobblers...

if players private parts are in an offside position then I presume that goal would be disallowed too.... in the interests of gender equality this question apply to female breasts too...

what about guendouzi of arsenals hair could that be in an offside position

Crap decision but no worse than a lot of other crap decisions we have seen every week.  Here is that thing about that decision; for starters that line wasn't put there by god himself it was put there by an official and is thus also subjective to a certain degree.  Then you have to ask yourself what the margin of error is in terms of resolution of the picture, the angle of the camera relative to the players and the thickness of the line itself.  That is not a clear and obvious situation.  Yes I have been told (hat tip Lars Sivertsen) that language doesn't actually appear in the rule (I'll take his world for it) but, OTOH, everybody involved uses the phrase and it's not only a sensible standard but it's the only reasonable one.  VAR was sold as a way to redress gross errors caused by officials just not seeing obvious fouls or, on hopefully unusual occasions*, just getting it wrong. Now we are down to disallowing goals by the left hand corner of a players right sleeve appears (but who know eh?) to be 2mm ahead of the defenders jock strap.

It's a farce.

* The standard of officiating seems to be in decline on a global basis.  The recently concluded World Series in baseball in theory had the best officials in the major leagues was marred by a crew who did at best a C, C- job and and featured some shockingly bad calls and strike zones that not only weren't according to rule but wandered as well.

Calling that Firmino goal offside is worrying.

That wasn't a VAR call IIRC. The linesman flagged it, VAR just "confirmed" it.

Any side without bam is better irrespective of who the other 10 players are

VAR was still used and the decision on the back of that intervention looks wrong.

Seconds after nbc say how exciting Liverpool are they put up a graphic showing that they won’t televise Liverpool in two weeks

Mohamed Salah and Andrew Robertson are set to miss Liverpool's game at Crystal Palace on Saturday after failing to recover from ankle injuries.

Both players have been able to rest during the international break after being left out of their national teams' squads, but the trip to Selhurst Park looks to have come too soon.
