Andy Robertson has signed a new long-term contract with Liverpool.

The Scotland left-back is the fifth member of Jurgen Klopp's squad to commit his future to the club in recent weeks, following Trent Alexander-Arnold, Fabinho, Alisson Becker and Virgil Van Dijk.

He told the club website: "Obviously when the negotiations started and it looked as if my future was going to be here longer term than what it was, then I think it's no secret that I'm happy at this club.

"I want to stay at this club for as long as possible and to extend my stay, it's always a happy time for me, for my family.

"We're settled here, we love everything about this football club and I'm glad that the journey is continuing."

James Norris has signed a new long-term contract with Liverpool.

The 18-year-old full-back was a member of the squad that reached the FA Youth Cup final last year and has now stepped up to Barry Lewtas’ U23s group.

A regular England youth international, Norris agreed his first professional contract last year. He has already made a debut for the first team, coming off the bench in the Carabao Cup quarter-final at Aston Villa in December 2019.

Naby keita caught up in the coup in Guinea…

the visiting team Morocco were escorted to the airport and flown including Roman saiss of wolves and a couple of watford squad players

Liverpool midfielder Naby Keita is on his way back to Europe after flying out of Guinea despite the country being in the midst of a military coup.

After borders were closed following the overthrow of President Alpha Conde, Guinea's World Cup qualifying opponents Morocco - whose match on Monday was postponed due to the instability - were granted an escort to leave the country.

The situation locally remained confusing, but Keita and some of his team-mates boarded a flight on Tuesday and are heading home.

I think Leeds were everyone’s second favourite team last season, for the way they played open football. No they’ve got their fans back into the ground, I think most would like to see them do another 20 years in the lower leagues.

Well he broke the damn blokes leg!

That dude should be off as long as the injured player is. That would stop that kind of tackles.

well Harvey Elliott supported the appeal against the 3 game ban as he didnt feel it warranted a red card
