Cool to see the CATS last night in Atlantic City, albeit a little longer in the tooth, but still rockin' to a big crowd after a long absence.

This is one of those records that makes me grateful for this thread. I've listened to this so much since I found out about it here. If you haven't heard it yet, it's one worth seeking out. If Western Stars wasn't as brilliant and beautiful as it is, Between The Country would be my choice for album of the year. For me, this record is stunning in its artistry and craft.

This isn't on the record, but I just found it today and I love it.

This really is a classic 80's debut. Loverboy's big mistake was trading in the new wave/rock fusion for a more mainstream arena rock sound.

One of my all time favourites.

Ian Bairnson's solo on WH is stunning beyond words. Never tire of ot.

After hearing great things for a long time about Tupac's Me Against The World I took a £5.99 punt on it at HMV.

Can't say I'm a huge fan of hip hop, though I do have a little of it in my collection, but I have to say that it's a brilliant piece of work.
