Scott Peterson
Really? Baseless criticism is better than hyperbole? Okay. And, yes, I absolutely care about Steel Mill and how Greetings was made. Obviously, a lot of fans do. But, beyond that, if you're writing a book about Bruce Springsteen, spending time on the recording of his first album isn't only a no-brainer, it's absolutely essential. Janiss
I read Carlin's book this summer, a real revelation and pleasure, we feel Bruce better after ... new eyes for watching him.
Scott Peterson
Really? Baseless criticism is better than hyperbole? Okay. And yet you feel able to critique a book you're only half-way through? Really? You feel like by the halfway point of, say, Movie 43 one wouldn't be capable of providing a fairly decent critique? I've read 175 pages of this non-fiction book so far—up to around the end of The River section. Someone who wasn't able to provide a critique by that point...well, I could maybe kinda sorta see how such a person could somehow think it's a decent book.
