Your Ultimate Allstar Concert?

Recommended Posts

I came up with this idea after watching some of the Crossroads Guitar Festival DVDs on YouTube coupled in with the concept of the Rock N'Roll Hall of Fame ceremonies, where all the inductees and "big names" get together to play. That and I thought, "Who would I want Bruce to perform live with for some epic performances?".

Anyway, just for kicks, I came up with a set list for what I would call my ultimate "All-Star" concert. Although, you don't need to necessarily have big name talent. It's really more of a get-together of all of your favorite artists.

The only rules are:

  • Maximum concert length of 45 songs.
  • Each individual artist's set must be between 2-5 songs in length. This does not include making guest appearances throughout the show during other artist's sets.

1. Feels Like Home (Orianthi)

2. Drive Away (Orianthi)

3. American Slang (The Gaslight Anthem)

4. Here Comes My Man (The Gaslight Anthem)

5. No Surrender (The Gaslight Anthem W/ Bruce Springsteen)

6. The House Rules (Christian Kane)

8. Raining In My Heartland (Lynyrd Skynyrd)

9. Sweet Home Alabama (Lynyrd Skynyrd w/ Keith Urban)

10. Bad Moon Rising (John Fogerty)

11. Proud Mary (John Fogerty)

12. Rockin All Over The World (John Fogerty W/ Bruce Springsteen)

13. Big Green Eyes (Alan Jackson)

14. Where Were You (When the World Stopped Turning) (Alan Jackson)

15. Online (Brad Paisley)

16. American Saturday Night (Brad Paisley)

17. Start a Band( Brad Paisley) (W/ Keith Urban and John Mayer)

18. Somebody’s Baby (Jackson Browne w/ Marc Cohn)

19. Running on Empty (Jackson Brown W/ Bruce Springsteen)

20. Sweet Thing (Keith Urban w/ John Mayer)

21. Till Summer Comes Around (W/ John Mayer)

22. Perfectly Lonely (John Mayer W/ Keith Urban)

23. Don’t Let Me Down (John Mayer and Keith Urban) (The Beatles Cover)

24. Queen of California (John Mayer)

26. Homestead (Joe Grushecky and The Houserockers w/ Bruce Springsteen)

27. Never Be Enough Time (Joe Grushecky and The Houserockers w/ Bruce Springsteen)

28. Jungle Love (Steve Miller Band)

29. Jet Airliner (Steve Miller Band)

30. Mercury Blues (Steve Miller Band w/ Alan Jackson)

31. Walking In Memphis (Marc Cohn w/ Bruce Springsteen/ Cindy Mizelle and Tiffany Palmer)

32. The Weight (Marc Cohn W/ Bruce Springsteen)

33. Listening To Levon (Marc Cohn)

34. Old Time Rock N’ Roll (Bon Jovi w/ Bob Seeger)

35. Keep The Faith (Bon Jovi)

36. Lost Highway (Bon Jovi)

37. Dancing In The Dark (Bruce Springsteen song) (Taylor Swift w/ Bruce for an acoustic duet)

38. Highway Don't Care (Taylor Swift (w/ Tim McGraw and Keith Urban)

39. Glory Days (Bruce Springsteen And The E Street Band)

40. American Land (Bruce Springsteen And The E Street Band)

41. The Promised Land (Bruce Springsteen And The E Street Band)

42. Lonesome Day (Bruce Springsteen And The E Street Band)

43. (Who Says You Can’t Go Home? (Bon Jovi Cover) (Bruce Springsteen And The E Street Band W/ Jon Bon Jovi and Keith Urban)

44. Bring It On Home To Me (Sam Cooke Cover Led by Bruce Springsteen featuring all artists)

That'd be fun. I'm interested in hearing all of yours.

That would be fun! Could you please do me a favor, though, and keep John Mayer in the back so I don't have to see him? :P;)

I'm surprised you didn't put Keith Urban with John Fogerty- they play well together.

This is a cool idea- I thought I'd give it a try. It was easier to pick the songs than it was to sequence them. I left out some favorite bands because I didn't think they fit, and the artists I chose aren't necessarily my favorites, but I thought they fit. I tried to find a mix of hits and a few deeper cuts. I put in a few collaborations/covers I'd love to see. I might be a bit heavy on ESB songs, but a lot of them had guests, so I guess that fits under the rules? Anyway, here it is:

Set 1

  • Talk to Me- Southside Johnny and the Asbury Jukes
  • Hearts of Stone- Southside Johnny and the Asbury Jukes
  • The Fever- Southside and Jukes with Bruce
  • Stars- Grace Potter

  • You and Tequila- Grace Potter and Kenny Chesney

  • Shine- Keith Urban with Elton John
  • Country Comfort- Elton John with Keith Urban
  • Tiny Dancer- Elton John
  • Blues for Baby and Me- Elton John
  • Tonight- Elton John
  • Crocodile Rock- Elton John and Bruce
Set 2
  • I Cant Make You Love Me- Bonnie Raitt

I Wish I Were Blind- Bruce and ESB with Keith Urban

Lucky Town- Bruce and ESB with Keith Urban

Holy crap! Those three songs would be insanely great! Very nice concert setlist above. Just turn away when Mayer is playing :P

There were a few songs and artists I had to leave off. Shoulda put Urban w. Fogerty, they rock together indeed.

It's all good that your set's a bit E Street heavy- completely within the rules :D
