ALICE COOPER

Recommended Posts

Alice had a mention over on the Hollywood Vampires thread.

So, I thought a new thread may be in order to smoke out any other Alice fans around here. Been a major fan myself since School's Out in '72.

Favourite five Alice albums.

Welcome To My Nightmare

From The Inside

Dada

Killer

Brutal Planet.

Saw him live for the first time last June. Great show! Great band!

First Alice Cooper album I bought was Hey Stoopid and it's still my favourite.

Hi Promise61, hopefully I'm not too late to this Alice Cooper thread. I've been a fan of his since the late-80's and saw him on the Trash tour (plus 2 other occasions after that).

Top 10 Alice Cooper List:

This would have been great! A reunion of the surviving members of the original Alice Cooper band!!

http://loudwire.com/original-alice-cooper-lineup-reunites-surprise-show/

I hope they can find some way to do a short run of shows together, for old times' sake.

Hmm, who would I rather see on guitar? Some old fart or Nita Strauss? Tough one. ;)

HAHA. Orianthi, or Steve Hunter. Dick Wagner would be first choice, were he still with us.

Much talk on the main page of the (well deserved) award that Nils picked up.

At the same ceremony, Alice picked up a Classic Album award for Welcome To My Nightmare. Rightly so, as it's nothing short of a masterpiece.

I had most of the AC albums back in the early 80s and still give him a blast now and again.

Love this........

^That's awesome!

I've seen Alice 3 times (once on Halloween - best Halloween ever). He puts on an amazing live show, and the music's pretty good, too. :D One of my favorites is the song he did for Friday the 13th, "He's Back (Man Behind the Mask)".

I was watching Mayberry RFD the other day and Alice Cooper was on it.  Apparently a regular in the third season......

Loved the guy to death back in the 70's. I went on one hell of a Budweiser binge listening to AC!

Killer is the schit!

Just in the UK I hope. I was planning to go in Vienna but I wanna see Nita Strauss and Glen Sobel.

Yes.  This is true according to the news page on the (excellent) Cooper website, Sickthings UK.

I'm a bit underwhelmed by the new single, though.  Waited six years for new material and it's a bit formulaic.  New album very soon, produced by Bob Ezrin.

I'd be okay with that.

Wondering about the size of some of the venues, though. Seems he's playing the biggest arenas in the UK. Also here in Austria he's playing the Stadthalle, a 14k seater, while last time he was here (2015?) he filled but didn't sell out a 4k venue.

Just saw that Ace Frehley's going to open for Alice in Australia. Now that's a package I'd love to see.
