There was something similar in an England test match, the England batsmen thought the ball went for 4 and went of to tea.  the ball hadn't and the batsman was run out.  I think the appeal got withdrawn and the batsman carried on batting.

Good news to relate from the West Indies impromptu  warm up game against the Aussies at Hampshire's Ageas Bowl on Wednesday. My mate who was there for some pre-World Cup volunteer training faithfully reports that the very honourable Steve Smith, who we recall as being so unfortunate as to be caught cheating on the only occasion that he (& just a couple of mates only) that he chanced it, walked on a caught behind pausing only to check that the umpire wasn't Stevie Wonder.

My mate was unable to confirm that David Warner was at the car park exit wishing everyone one a safe journey  home & a pleasant evening but did notice that his drive home was hampered by rivers of blood & four strangely dressed horsemen one of whom rode a pale horse.
