It will be abit weird & if some players don't go(which is fully understandable given the circumstances) then it will be pretty meaningles, the fact all the individual states seem to have different rules doesn't make it any easier either.

My son has tickets for the Gabba & no doubt there will be a few England fans who live out there that will attend games local to them but it will be a very different atmosphere without fans being allowed to make the journey.

i hope Queensland keeps healthy and you son can get to the Gabba

the state system is so complicated for a country will so few population but its how they made it

and if i lived there right now id wanna be in ACT as it has well over 90% vacination rate

or Tassie who i think/hope is still covid free

What a wonderful, intriguing and exciting match in the best limited over competition in the world last night as the IPL found out who would contest this years final this weekend. The game had the future of Indian cricket Ventakesh Iyer batting first and he was so very impressive, had never seen him before but he is a big guy who really goes after the bowlers and smacks the ball really hard, he scored 55 off 41 deliveries. KKR were cruising as the chased a DC total of 135, they needed 13 runs off 25 balls with only 1 wicket down, but a collapse of english proportions saw them go from 123-1 to 130-7 and needing 6 to win from the last two bowls, Rahul Tripathi hit a six off the second last delivery to seal their place in the final. The english style collapse was unforseen but certainly made for a very exciting last half hour.

The Final was disappointing as it was so one sided Chennai, with India captain MS Dhoni leading them, totally outplayed KKR, with england captain eoin morgan leading them. KKR new sensation Ventakesh Iyer got anothe half century in the effort to chase the Chennai impressive total of 193, but once again the had their england style middle order collapse and fell well short of the required total, with Chennai worthy champions yet again.

Scotland's cricketers (do not adjust your set, that is correct) putting on a decent show against a Test nation (Bangladesh) in the T20.

After a tricky start, it looks like Scotland will get to about 140 so, with a strong opening from their bowlers, they could be in with a chance. Imagine the singing and dancing in the streets of Auchtermuchty if they win!

Scotland off to a rip-roaring start, reducing Bangladesh to 18-2 but Bangladesh steadied and are more than a third of the way to the target with only a quarter of their overs used (plus no further wickets lost)

Edit: someone can't count - Bangladesh were halfway through their allotted overs at that point so much closer than I thought. It's Scotland's game to win.

With ten overs left, Bangladesh need a miracle (and ten runs per over) with six wickets remaining.

Perhaps cricket could become Scotland's national game and take some of the pressure off the football team?

And another disappointing year for RCB:(. Finished 4th again. Bangalore and Chennai have this running battle going on and while CSK get the better of us in IPL, Karnataka (Bangalore is the capital of Karnataka) routinely get the better of Tamil Nadu.

Maybe new captain as Virat has announced that he will not be leading the team next year will bring in a change of fortunes. Its widely expected that local lad K.L Rahul will be picked up next year and made to lead, if not, it could be AB Develliers. Looks like only AB, Virat and Glen Maxwell will be retained for next year as no team can retain more than 4.

Rahul Dravid who has been with the Indian Junior team and has  worked with several youngsters who are now in the Indian team has been made the coach of Indian team. Rahul is a very dedicated , focused guy and very different from the outgoing coach Ravi Shastri .Not sure if all players will like having Rahul though it will be good for Indian cricket

Scotland qualify for the group stage of the T20 world cup after beating Oman by 8 wickets, they will play New Zealand India Pakistan Afghanistan & the qualifier from the other preliminary group.

Bangladesh also qualified & will go into the other group consisting of England West Indies Australia South Africa & another qualifier.

The other qualifiers will be decided today.

Two interesting games to start the main group games in the T20 world cup with South Africa crawling to 118 which seemed a pretty poor score but Australia only won with 2 balls to spare.

Then England bowled West Indies out for 55 but managed to lose 4 wickets in chasing that low total.

It will be interesting to see how the next few games go regarding how easy it is to score runs & how teams adapt to the conditions.

India V Pakistan on now. All roads in India and maybe Pakistan too must be deserted. Nothing gets bigger than this in this part of the world. India is 12-0 in all world cup matches against Pakistan so far but its Pakistan who have a made start today

yes... Losing by 10 wickets is not something anyone expected. However, Pakistan have a terrific bowling line up and are capable of going far if they play to their potential. Their temperament is what usually is suspect but they handled the chase beautifully yesterday.

As Virat mentioned in the post match conference we were totally outplayed. Was nice to see the camaraderie after the match between the players. Hope some stupid fans do not go overboard in spewing usual  venom on social media as at the end of the day in sports one team is bound to lose even if you try your best.

Nope. No Pakistani Players. Were there for the first couple of editions. Then one year, they all went unpicked which to me seemed to be in bad taste. If you invite someone then pick them or be upfront and say that currently we do not wish to have you as part of IPL till your govt behaves

It will be interesting to see where this goes,CSA say players are required to take the knee before games so how does that work in a scenario like yesterday where a player refuses, did he actually withdraw or was he told he couldn't play?,what are the legalities of it?
