No 5743

A manager not currently employed being delayed taking up a new job because his previous club owns his "image rights".

What fucking bilge.

Did Bob Paisley ever strike a deal relating to his "image rights"?

i'd like to add to your list the peeve about first team players being given high squad numbers when lower ones are available

for instance Joel Matip a central defender officially became a Liverpool player - numbers 3, 4 and 5 are available but they gave him 32!!!!!!!!!!!!!

 nae names on shirts either.

.

York have just signed 17 new players. Without the names I wouldn't have a chance of knowing who was who.

Is McNamara still there or did he get huckled?

Are any of those 17 some of the diddies he signed for Dundee United?

Still there despite the lowest win percentage in the club's history.

I've lost track of where they all came from, but certainly some were from Scotland. Maybe the names don't matter, they might all be known as 'Useless Git' by Christmas!

I despise Jackie McNamara.

The biggest wage thief ever to play for Aberdeen during his spell here.

Obviously never gave a toss, just a final pay day.

Absolutely phoned it in every time he pulled the shirt on.

No harm to York, but I wish every conceivable depth of failure upon him.

So far he's managed that quite well.

I think our budget only stretches as far as sacking one manager per season.

Premier Sports have had the early UEFA for the last couple of years.

I thought KO was 1645 but if it's 1730 that means I should be home in time from work.

MagicRat I get my TV info from this site, it is updated often and is usually very accurate, so as you can see they say K.O. 17:30.

http://www.live-footballontv.com/

However I have heard from other sources this morning that K.O. is 16:45 like you say, cannot verify which is correct at this time, so beware.

Just checked UEFA site and it says K.O. 18:30 local time, so I guess 17:30 is correct.

I would also like to submit "Friday night footie" for consideration as another thing that is wrong with footie.

Man U v Southampton first fri night game on 19th august.

One of the best away days I ever had was a friday night, Liverpool away in the FA Cup we got hammered 4-0 but what a night.

Estimated Newcastle following of 12,000-14,000 superb atmosphere. Friday night football...bring it on.

I'm kind of torn on Friday night stuff.

It can be a cracking atmosphere, Friday night invariably leads to more ale consumption.

But it's a bit crap making fans travel the length of the country for a game on a Friday night.

As long as the games are geographically sensibly scheduled, I'm OK with it up to  point.
