Red card totally deserved of course.

You think? I really don't understand the rule on this I guess? Because the player got all ball before sliding into Silva

Both his feet looked up to me.  Given the emphasis on player safety in the rules these days that will do it.  Notice the Wolve's protests were a bit perfunctory.

I think it suits city to be playing catch up on LFC this season. They are so much better than them but the points gap means that they can’t afford any mistakes.

After last season, complacency and lack of hunger was a threat to them retaining it. They have now had to shake off that mindset. I reckon LFC need to win 13 of their 16 games to win the league.

On the own goal, that guy had to give it a shot or Sterling surly could tap in a one footer! And than again maybe not.

Good performance against a potentially dangerous opponent.  Sure the red card helped but you take advantage of the situation: get three points, clean sheet, nobody hurt and don't burn any matches you don't have to.  Speaking strictly as somebody looking forward to possibly very interesting game the card early was a bit of a disappointment but thems the breaks.

I understand that he is on loan to Groningen until the summer of 2020.

"Refusing to cooperate" with regulators is generally unsuccessful

https://www.thetimes.co.uk/edition/sport/manchester-city-refusing-to-cooperate-with-ffp-investigation-m29vqlpvf

Manchester City have refused to respond to Uefa investigators over allegations that they misled financial regulators over the club’s income, on the grounds that the accusations are based on hacked emails.

Uefa’s independent Club Financial Control Body (CFCB) is investigating leaked emails which appear to show £59.5 million of sponsorship money that was supposed to come from the Etihad airline in 2015 was paid by their owners Abu Dhabi United Group (ADUG).

The CFCB approached City for their response to the allegations and emails published by Der Spiegel, the German magazine, from the Football Leaks cache of documents.

Did anyone watch the City v Huddersfield match yesterday?

Penalty on Sterling, is it just because it was Sterling, it wasn't called?

team is in for their 10-1 defeat by Burton... 7 youngters not counting Foden in the 18

CITY XI | Muric, Zinchenko, Sandler, Garcia, Danilo, Delph, Foden, De Bruyne, Poveda, Mahrez, Aguero (C)

SUBS | Grimshaw, Stones, Mendy, Jesus, F Nmecha, Bolton, Richards

poor old de bruyne and aguero forced to play instead of staying home and watching telly

I can't help but feel that Burton need an early goal if they're to have any chance.
