The Man City Thread: The Pep Years

The difference between Chelsea and City at Watford this week was staggering. And yet only 2 points between them.

Can’t see anyone stopping city again this season. Whilst it’s not ideal as a red, the irony of LFC having their greatest ever PL team since it began and only winning one PL title will be quite remarkable to look back on in future.

I'm not at all certain that MC will win the league this year.  Chelsea aren't out of it by any stretch (though I'm a tad worried about them right now)  and Liverpool look very good.  An injury here, a bad call there could be the margin this year.

Maybe Der Spiegel will come back and give us both 3 more titles.

So The Donkey returns to create havoc in the Man City defence, he was way behind the defensive line to play the forward onside for the first goal, and at his galloping rate was never going to catch up, the second goal is more mysterious even by The Donkey`s standard, just what was he doing on the halfway line and did he fall asleep to let the two forwards simply stride away from him....10 seconds later...goal number two. Unlike the other side of Manchester, Pep only plays his Donkey when he knows there is nothing at stake, or the situation is recoverable in future matches.

A 60 minute first half for the robots

several dives, some serious head injuries and a bizarre wolves sending off

That is what happens when you have the second worst referee in the league! And it happens the worst referee in the league is the VAR referee.

ridiculous penalty call - shameful!

OK, let's say I agree. But can I ask how many times had Sterling was pulled, kick and pushed down in the box? If it was anybody but Sterling we could have at least 3 penalties

This league just has so many one sided and meaningless games throughout the whole season, with huge scorelines compared to other more competetive leagues. And whilst we are on it, dosen`t the fixtures look really attractive tonight....NOT.
