Still 3 points however they come.

Man city were very average today, the mackems deserved a draw IMO. That fucker Defoe  is one of the most under rated players ever, he's pure class.

man city headed to Bucharest with a very small squad - as well as the 7 players they had to omit (see an earlier post) they left behind Toure and Denayer also and took quite a few 18 year old players could Pep be planning a last minute clear out and signing spree??

Man City 5-0 to the good today.

But not all is good, Aguero  gets a hat-trick after missing two penalties. WTF

Yes, that was a great improvement over last week.

Should have been 4-0 because no way on earth Sterling's was penalty?

Ooch, that hurts. He is such a good young player.

Is it League Cup today?

it was but the sides in Europe didn't have to enter this round

Man City go to Swansea in the next round of League Cup in mid September.

If you're asking was it League Cup for Man City today then the answer is no they were playing European Champions League qualifier thingy.

How is that an easy draw? To me only Group F may be harder?

I don't see Mönchengladbach and Celtic causing City much problems. Celtic maybe in Glasgow, parking the bus. Still I think Barça and City will be through before the last matchday.

Oh, I agree with you, but not easy. compared to the other groups. And I see no problem with Arsenal and Spurs making it out of group too.

Any other group but F, City is a number 1 seed, going into knock out round.

No, the mighty Reds ain't in the European Cup this season, sadly.

But, per the Doc's assessment, I think the JJ's defence will ensure they finish a comfortable fourth.

Is there not some historical, quasi-sectarian "tie in" between Citeh and the dead team that could render this tie a bit tasty?

Manchester City striker Sergio Aguero has been charged with violent conduct by the Football Association for elbowing West Ham's Winston Reid.

Aguero could face a three-match ban, including City's Premier League games with Manchester United on 10 September and Bournemouth on 17 September.

The 28-year-old would also miss the EFL Cup third-round game against Swansea.

Aguero is out of Argentina's upcoming two World Cup 2018 qualifiers with a calf injury.

Referee Andre Marriner did not see the 76th-minute incident during City's 3-1 win on Sunday and the FA has decided to take retrospective action.
